Diana Heather: Celebrity Party Style

Celebrifunk

The Heathers are in a slight funk, but there's no reason to panic; everything will be fine in the end.

Good job keeping a stiff upper lip, Blake. Like me, I know you're hurting on the inside.Good job keeping a stiff upper lip, Blake. Like me, I know you're hurting on the inside.

My team isn't doing as badly as they did last week, but still -- we're not #1.  I'm looking at my list, and really, I don't see why we're not numero uno.

Does Celebrifantasy not realize that Angelina Jolie is finally out of the hospital, Lindsay is engaged in a liaison dangereuse, and have we even seen Blake Lively on the cover of Vanity Fair? (Can you say "cute!"?)

Again, La Vida Kenny is the "king" of The Locomotion. He even made Celebrifantasy's weekly digest of highest scorers of the week! How absurd is that? How can the Spears sisters keep that team up?!

As I mentioned before, LVK still has two people that have scored 0. Zero. Nada. Zlich.

In other "happy" news, The Talking Heads are doing better than last week. It seems that Matthew McConaughey is still holding the team. Strange, celebricouple Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer (Johniston?) are very low key.

The Donna Changs are holding strong. I'm surprised Miley is still only scoring 8 points, especially after her performance of "7 Things" on the Today Show concert earlier this week.

Jessica's bitter that the Jonas Brothers beat Miley by a couple o' points.

(Maybe Miley's score is low because she doesn't know how to count to seven. But, who can blame her? She's just being Miley.)

Sometimes I wish that Celebribabies were allowed to be drafted. I know that the Jolie-Pitt clan would win me big points.

Maybe it's time to drop The Jonas Brothers for Jennifer Garner?

...wait, why do I still have Kathie Lee Gifford on my team?

Celebritragedy

There's been some weird cosmic shift, and suddenly The Heathers are in third place on Celebrifantasy!

Lindsay's disgruntled, and so am ILindsay's disgruntled, and so am I

I don't understand it, I just don't understand. Angelina Jolie just had her twins. The Jonas Brothers are a huge hit on iTunes...and when is Lindsay Lohan not featured in a tabloid?

Oh, the tragedy.

This week I dropped, and La Vida Kenny and The Donna Changs reign in first and second place, respectively.

The Talking Heads are still hanging on; perhaps Dina Lohan is holding them back. (Alex has faith that they'll pull through with flying colors in the end.)

La Vida Kenny is really impressive with their power house women: The Spears Clan, Nicole Richie, and Samantha Ronson.

What's not fair is that LVK has 2 players still with 0 points (Charlie Sheen and Diddy), and yet...the team's in the lead.

The Donna Changs also made a big splash with Brad Pitt, Justin Timberlake, and Cameron Diaz. This team has no one that scored under 6 points!

What bothers me is that the Jonas Brothers have scored the same amount of points as Miley Cyrus -- with Camp Rock, the Jonas Brothers should have more points!

In any case, maybe it's time for me to drop Denise Richards and Kathie Lee Gifford. Madonna or A-Rod could be a good investment right now...

So far, our accumulated Celebrifantasy scores:

La Vida Kenny: 219 this season

The Donna Changes: 183

The Heathers: 181

The Talking Heads: 162

Jamie Lynn?!

Friends, my not-so-secret secret weapon, Angelina Jolie, was dethroned by none other than Jamie Lynn Spears.

As you all know, Jamie Lynn gave birth to her daughter, Maddie Briann last month. Now, she's been on the cover of Ok! Magazine. Her score this week shot up to 49, from what was only 14 last week on Celebrifantasy

Oh, the suspense as I await Brangelina to have their twins.

The Spears clan is really working out well for La Vida Kenny. Although, a trade may be in store for for the team...Diddy, Samantha Ronson, and Naomi Campbell still aren't getting any points!

Bummer!

The Talking Heads are not too shabby, maybe because Matthew McConaughey just had a baby boy.

Now really, what's scary is that the Donna Changs have also jumped up from before. Audrina Patridge has really made the team, and Brad Pitt, well, Brad Pitt is Brad Pitt.

To stay on top, I think I'll really need Angelina to do me a favor and give birth. And Lindsay Lohan needs to really get back to her involvement with "Ugly Betty," and, finally, what would really keep my team alive is some amazing record sales from the Jonas Brothers.

I've never before been so engrossed in my Celebrity gossip.

...but I love it.

Angelina Jolie is All-Mighty

Angelina Jolie: Seriously FabulousAngelina Jolie: Seriously Fabulous
...and the scores are in for the first week.

It's as if it were Christmas. I impatiently waited for Celebrifantasy to load and update the team scores for the past week.

I must have logged in and out ten times in the day to see the results.

And- it was totally worth the wait!

My team, The Heathers led the league with 89 points (thanks to Angelina Jolie, who earned a gleaming 56 points -- probably more than anyone else in the Celebrity world).

Second place was The Talking Heads with 74 points. Matthew McConaughey is doing surprisingly well---it's actually a very well-rounded team, aside from Dina Lohan who is sinking the team.

Third goes to La Vida Kenny. 70 points despite having four celebrities with scores of 0 (Diddy, Charlie Sheen, Naomi Campbell, and Samantha Ronson).

And lastly, the Donna Changs came in last, missing out on third place by just one measely point! Jessica head up that team and she blames this entirely on Cameron Diaz who earned 0 points this past week! (On a side note, she also more than completely blamesAmy Winehouse, whom she says she's going to kick off her roster immediately.)

Maybe next week will turn out better for the Donna Changs. Jessica is hoping that Miley Cyrus's new music video will boost her score up.

Meanwhile- I just know The Heathers are going to blow everyone else out of the water! Thanks Angie and good luck with the birth of your twins!

Celebrifantasy Drafting Is In

So, it's taken me a little while to get my teams and league going on Celebrifantasy, but now that I have it figured out, here's the deal.....

My leage is now "The Locomotion Never Ends" because- who doesn't love the Locomotion?!

The Heathers are my pride and joy: Angelina Jolie, Lindsay Lohan, The Jonas Brothers, David Beckham, Blake Lively, Denise Richards, Ashlee Simpson, and Kathy Lee Gifford - how can it get any better than that!

Other competition include:

1. Donna Changs: Amy Winehouse, Audrina Patridge, Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz, Joel Madden, Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus, and Katie Holmes.

2. La Vida Kenny: Jamie Lynn Spears, Britney Spears, Lauren Conrad, Diddy, Nicole Richie, Samantha Ronson, Naomi Campbell, and Charlie Sheen.

3. The Talking Heads: Kate Hudson, Mary-Kate Olsen, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew McConaughey (however his name is spelled), Heidi Montag, Dina Lohan, Jessica Simpson, and John Mayer.

The competition seems very, very tough.

I do have Angelina and she's about to have twins- so that's really going to up her press coverage, but on the other hand, the Donna Changs have Brad- and Angie wouldn't be having those kids without hime! La Vida Kenny has the infamous Spears sisters, and The Talking Heads have the annoying, but always press-worthy Heidi Montag.

What am I to do?

What can I do, anyway? I just hope that my celebriteam will make many, many headlines in these next 10 weeks- so here's to freedom of press!

Celebrifantasy Delight

I’ve never enjoyed celebrity gossip as much as I do when I can use celebrities and their gossip stories for my advantage and have them compete for my glory. On celebrifantasy.com, I have the rare opportunity to select a team of celebrities and have them compete with other teams of celebrities.

Teams of celebrities compete against each other in a league. Teams win or lose depending on how much press the celebrities in the team have gotten in the past week.

The concept is very similar (if not exactly) like playing a Fantasy Sport. Except, celebrifantasy is free, and the celebrities are judged by gossip surrounding them, not their shooting percentage.

So, for example, let’s say that Angelina Jolie has been hiding out in France, not doing anything particularly interesting that Perez Hilton wants to take note of. Her points for the week could be 20.

However, let’s say Katie Holmes divorced Tom Cruise. Her points could be 60.

To begin this exciting process, I made my user name (celebrationtart) and made my own little league for people I know to join.

My League: Save Our Bluths (inspired by the great Arrested Development)

My Team: Harry Met Sally (Self-explanatory, I hope)

Right now there are three other teams ready to compete. The draft for the celebrities is up-coming, depending on when we can finalize the teams.

Hopefully a few more will come soon so we can have a real celebrity death-match, or at least a good gossip show-down.

Sex and the City- Opening Day

Celebrating Girlfriends after Sex and the CityCelebrating Girlfriends after Sex and the City

My Job Description: Come up with fun reasons to celebrate!

Most Recent Idea: Celebrating Girlfriends with the premiere of Sex and the City

Job Perk: Living my ideas

Living it: Friday, May 30, 2008- Opening Day of Sex and the City; 2:30pm matinee at Lincoln Square IMAX Theater- New York City

The Characters: Two of my best girlfriends and me

The Scene: Even at 2:30 on a Friday afternoon- the theater was overflowing and some guests even sat on the floor in the aisles!

The Mood: The theater was buzzing with excitement – before, during and after the movie. It was as if everyone was one big group of friends. Even a few men showed up to support Mr. Big.

The Fashion: Women filed into the theater in cliques and groups dressed to impress. Did they think Sara Jessica Parker was going to walk in and say hi? Clearly I wasn’t the only one who thought a girl’s night out was a required post-movie activity.

The Movie: I’m not going to spoil it for you, but true SATC fans wouldn’t miss it for the world. And trust me, it does not disappoint!

Celebrating of Girlfriends: My group of three headed straight for the trendy outdoor bar at the Hudson Hotel for martinis with elder flower and glasses of wine! It was a perfect Spring afternoon in New York City and a great chance to chatch up with friends.

Spotted: The next night at the bar at the top of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Columbus Circle – the first page of the cocktail menu was dedicated to Sex and the City with the Carrie Cosmo and the Mr. Big’s Apple Martini!

Sex and the City was everywhere - and it gave me a reason to celebrate with my girlfriends that we won't soon forget!

Philosophy Pic #1My Mother, My Angel

My Mother always tells me that I'm her Angel. But in reality, my wonderful Mother is, and has always been MY Angel! Growing up, I had such a lack of self-esteem… she always gave me such confidence by telling me I was beautiful inside and out. I really feel that without my Mom, I wouldn't be who I am today! She was the one who gave me my "wings"!

-Janis Horvatich, daughter of Jean Pardo

You're Never Too Old To Do Anything

My mom went to college in her 40's
and fought cancer in her 50's.
She learned how to tap dance in her 70's…
and is now driving cross country at 76!
My mom is an unstoppable dynamo that I truly admire.
