11 Mini Foods That Make a Big Impression

Anyone who has experimented with their food can tell you that food really is an art. I don’t know about you, but I always feel a tinge of guilt when biting into something that clearly took longer to make than the 10 seconds it takes to eat.

And as the old saying goes, “It’s the little things that matter.” We think that’s especially true for these tiny handcrafted foods (and look-alikes) that will amaze and leave you just a little bit hungrier than you were before. While not all these creations are edible, they sure are impressive!

  • Shay Aaron is known for his incredible miniature food jewelry. It may not be edible, but his pieces sure are mouthwatering and make a perfect gift for the foodie in your life!

  • A bunch of tiny desserts on top of a tiny cupcake? Well you certainly have our attention! Now all we need is a tiny cup of coffee to match.

  • These BBQ short ribs with grilled corn and marinated mushrooms on a stick is one mini dish that packs a punch of instense grilled flavor. Bite sized is the new little black dress of party menus!

  • Sweet, tart, and tiny... just how we like our lemon meringues! We like to think the genius at Minnie’s kitchen really did use the mini butter and rolling pin to make these.

  • Oreos are like the perfect cookie. They are fun to eat, dip, and even decorate. These oreo cakes are mini in size, but are definitely bold in flavor.

  • Another one of Shay’s beautiful creations, we couldn’t resist throwing this ooey gooey masterpiece into the mix! You would need a specialized garden for veggies this tiny.

  • We have yet to meet anyone who doesn’t love grilled cheese. This artisanal flavored grilled cheese is so rich and gooey, your guests will be popping them into their mouth all night.

  • Our version of mini pies comes in the form of these tasty cherry pies. Bites this tiny won’t leave you feeling full and guilty like the full sized versions, either!

  • If you love the cheesy, meaty flavor of a BLT but can’t bring yourself to justify the 2-hour run that follows, these mini BLTs are the solution. You can still look super cute with a cocktail in one hand, and one of these bite size BLTs in the other.

  • This cake isn’t edible, but it sure is pretty! Those delicate frosted flowers add a touch of elegance to an already impressive work of art.

  • Since the wedding cake wasn’t edible, we had to throw in one of our own mini cupcakes that yes, you can eat. These mini strawberry cupcakes may not have rainbow frosting, but their fruity flavor and chic design make them the perfect summer time snack.
