2013 VMA Performers in Frosting Form

Since we can’t wine and dine with the celebrities attending this year’s VMAs, we’ll spend the night with our favorite pals sipping on signature drinks and rooting for our favorites.

Until that magical night comes, we’re counting down the days by researching some of the most bizarre party ideas and fan art inspired by the VMAs. Naturally, desserts were the first on our list, so we bring you a compilation of some of your favorite 2013 VMA performers striking a pose in their frosting best.

And while performers like Robin Thicke and Macklemore haven’t yet been styled into a sugar coated creation, artists from Lady Gaga to Katy Perry are being turned into desserts from cupcakes to cake pops.

  • Katy Perry’s cupcake bra may not have edible, but Molly Cakes created her own sure-to-be-sweet frosted Perry cake pops for an adorable treat!

  • Justin Timberlake may love his go-to suit and tie, but one fan liked his SNL look much better. This fondant creation was made as a topper for a bachelorette cake by Whipped Bakeshop– what a lucky bride-to-be!

Unfortunately, the soulful stylings of N*SYNC are sometimes overshadowed by Justin Timberlake’s amazing locks, so only JT was lucky enough to receive the frosting treatment. How about showing JC, Chris, Lance, and Joey some love?!

  • Even in frosting form, it feels like Yeezus is giving his signature glare. It’s surprising that he hasn’t commissioned his own Kanye West face cake yet!

  • This life-sized Lady Gaga cake stands at 5’ 9 inches and weighs about 180 pounds. The artist claims that it took him over two weeks to complete this cavity-inducing creation – talk about a dedicated fan!

  • Miley Cyrus’s former Disney alter ego, Hannah Montana, was the ultimate girl’s birthday party theme back before Miley could no longer be tamed. That explains the countless cakes and treats with this superstar’s face on them.

  • This may be one of the simplest celebrity inspired desserts, but it’s strangely accurate. Did you know Bruno Mars did Elvis Impersonations as a child? So that’s where he got those moves!
