9 Must Make St. Patrick's Day Drinks

St. Patrick's Day is typically known as a beer drinking holiday, but no matter your poison of preference, you can still have a delicious St. Patrick's Day drink without feeling bad for skipping the stout glass.

Here are nine St. Paddy's Day cocktails to choose from. Whether you're looking to spice up the usual glass of beer or looking to sip something far from it, I've got a collection of drinks to make your festivities fun.

Pay attention to my delicious coffee cocktails, as they're just as perfect for kicking off the day as they are for capping the night off!

  • You may think Cinco de Mayo when you hear margarita, but my take on this Mexican classic gives it an Irish touch that’s perfect for St. Patrick’s Day. Spiked with whiskey, filled with lager and given a green sugar rim, it’s a green St. Patrick’s Day drink no one will pass up!

  • We can't get too far into this St. Patrick's Day drink round up without mentioning the classic Irish coffee cocktail. A mix of Bailey's original Irish cream, whiskey, fresh coffee and topped with fresh whipped cream, it's what most people drink to kick off their St. Patrick's Day celebrations.

  • How many times will you hear, “Kiss Me! I’m Irish!” on St. Patrick’s Day? Get inspired by the popular holiday quip and mix up a more sophisticated St. Paddy’s Day cocktail like my Golden Champagne Kiss Cocktail. A blend of elderflower liqueur, lemon juice and Prosecco, it’s a soft, romantic and dreamy drink that will have you seeing rainbows in no time!

  • You can count yourself one lucky leprechaun if you mix up this next green St. Patrick’s Day drink. While it’s decked in Irish colors, this green drink has a more tropical flavor thanks to the Malibu rum, melon liqueur and pineapple juice mixed into it. Perfect for those celebrators who prefer a sweeter sip, it’s less intimidating than a Guinness and a whole lot prettier, too!

  • This warm blend of hot chocolate and coffee gets an extra dose of yummy added to it in the form of Bailey’s. Top with whipped cream for added sweetness and garnish with chocolate syrup if you’d like a more classic presentation.

  • The first beer cocktail on the list, I love this St. Patrick's Day drink because of it's fantastic color. A simple mix of 4 ounces Harp Lager and 1 ounce honey whiskey, it's a sweeter sip than some of the other beer drinks on our list.

  • You’ve had a chocolate espresso martini before, but have you ever tried my version spiked with Bailey’s with a hint of mint? Though mixed with impressive ingredients, this St. Patrick’s Day drink is a delicate sip anyone can get on board with!

  • Perhaps you'd think the last thing to pair with Guinness in a glass would be a sparkling wine, but you're wrong. The ever popular Black Velvet St. Patrick's Day drink has stood the test of time and is a beer recipe that's worth the mix!

  • I bet you've heard of a Black & Tan before, but have you ever tried one? It's one of the easiest beer cocktails to make and a must-try St. Patrick's Day drink. I recommend sticking with the Guinness Draught from a can when mixing up as it has always worked best for me.
