A Casual Chic 4th of July Celebration

The 4th of July is one of those holidays that can be easy, festive and fun without requiring a ton of work, which it should be since it's also a holiday spent outside in the summer sun relaxing with family and friends.

Just in time for America's birthday this year, we discovered a totally chic and casual party our friends at Saucy Pants shared and it's nothing short of inspiring.

Chock full of red, white and blue party ideas, everything from the 4th of July party printables they created to the food they served is attainable on any budget and in any time frame.

  • We're oohing and ahhing over this custom printed invitation Kristi and team created to set the scene for their July 4th celebration. We know guests will be treated to lots of patriotic fun - laid back style!

  • Kristi proves that creating a festive spot to hang with family and friends requires just a few patriotic accents. Repurpose what you've already got on hand, then hit the discount store for anything you need like throw pillows - which can be used all season long!

  • Light refreshments for the whole family do double duty as decor when displayed poolside with dressed up napkins and custom party tent cards. Easy and inexpensive, but totally chic!

  • Check out Kristi's creative napkin rings! We just love how she sneaks in the galvanized tin to hold them, too. It's a favorite party supply of ours all summer long for the same purpose!

  • A clean white backdrop ties Kristi's dessert spread into her party space. You can recreate the backdrop with some white sheets, Kristi's printables and paper fans in red and blue.

  • How adorable are these chocolate dipped banana bites? And guess what - they couldn't be simpler to make! Follow this how-to for banana bites and just leave out the peanut butter and top with whipped cream and a cherry instead.

  • Kristi's friend Christa is the talent behind her gorgeous cake - dessert and centerpiece all in one! And if you need a mess-free sweet to give the kids, consider a patriotic dessert in a jar .

  • Festive 4th of July cookies can come in all shapes and sizes - without being too complicated. We're loving Kristi's use of these meringues!

  • Jell-O shots are all the rage this year and we're loving Kristi's red, white and blue layered ones. Spike them for an adult-treat or keep them family-friendly.

  • Send guests home with a sweet reminder that ties in the red, white and blue once more!

Head on over to SaucyPants.com to check out even more inspiring photos, download the party printables and to get even more details on the party as told by Kristi!

And a special thanks to Shannon Galasso of Riso Studio for the beautiful photos of Kristi's party!
