Gingham has been everywhere from kid's cowboy parties to picnic themed get togethers and formal events. There are so many ways you can incorporate gingham into your summer party, especially if you like to get a little creative.

If you choose the DIY route, you won't have to break the bank. All of these ideas are easy, fun and will bring a special touch to your summer party this year.

  • The theme for your party always starts with the invitation. This DIY invitation is actually a free printable from Eat Drink Chic and will really set the tone for your summer picnic!

  • Over on Etsy, I found these adorable gingham pinwheels that would be a cute accent to a summer party or even set them up for kids to make at a craft table.

  • Set a simple white table with a red gingham table runner for a classic picnic feel without having to lay out in the grass.

  • Speaking of treats, these take home gifts look like jars of jam because of the gingham topper. They look really easy and inexpensive to make too. I found them over at a Pizzazzerie featured party for a kid's birthday!
