BBQ Graduation Party

The BBQ graduation party is so easy and festive! Using just a few easy decorating tricks, you can bring the outdoors in and create a fantastic graduation party that matches your INVITES perfectly!

All of the graduation ideas featured here are perfect for an outdoor party, too!

  • It all started with these great invites from Pear Tree Greetings . There are tons of graduation announcements to choose from, but I just love this red. The return labels are so cute too.

  • Use an old pair of cowboy boots to make the tablescape a little more rustic, and use red utensils and napkins to match the invitations.

  • Burgers and ribs just like from the grill, but from the oven! I just love these food labels. Everything is better on a stick, including these cute food markers. Keep the line moving by taking out the guesswork for your guests while dressing up your buffet. They make me want to try one of each...ok, maybe two!

  • Easy finger foods like full dill pickles and fries in a cone are great for easy grabbing and make you feel like you’re at an outdoor fair rather than in a home.

Also foolproof, these folded labels are just printed two to an 8.5 sheet of paper. Fold the paper in half width-wise and cut in half!

  • Use an extra piece of burlap as a quickie table cloth. It really brings all the elements together, and is so cheap and durable. You can use it again and again, or toss if gets too dirty.

  • This is a fun twist on a guest book, and will leave the graduate with plenty of well wishes and encouraging words to send them into their next adventure. You can find this large mason jar at Target, and simply tie a piece of this twine and printed & attached this good luck label with scotch tape. So simple!

Print several copies of these well-wishes notes and cut the paper in thirds. Pre-cut several pieces of string to keep the process easy for guests. This good luck jar is a great activity to have in the entry way so people could leave well wishes as they come and go.

  • Create your own twist on a banner I saw on Post Road Vintage. I love how it ties the cute invite, rugged burlap, and happy occasion all together perfectly. This banner is so charming and easy to customize, you'll want to make one for all your parties. Get creative with fabric and type and make it your own!

  • And for the cherry on top, an ice cream bar for dessert! Serving ice cream for dessert can be a tricky and time consuming, but not this time. Using cute mason jars, you can pre-scoop individual servings, so when it comes time for treats, all you have to do is pull the tray out of the freezer! So easy, and kids love making their own sundaes.
