Best Wedding Venues from Around the World

Here at Celebrations, we're all about planning on a budget! However, sometimes it's nice to dream. Imagine planning your perfect wedding without any constraint of budget or location-- Where would you have it?

We thought about that question long and hard, and then compiled a list of the most beautiful, posh, exclusive, and downright outrageous wedding venues in the world. Whether your dream wedding might take place at an ancient castle in Italy, or a private island in the Florida Keys, there's something for everyone here. Enjoy!

  • American Museum of Natural History
    New York, New York

The American Museum of Natural History is among the most popular NYC tourist attractions by day, and the most exclusive and expensive event venues by night! If dancing the night away under the world-famous 94' whale, amidst dinosaurs, stars, and planets, sounds like your dream wedding, then look no further! Of course, as is the case for most of the venues on this list, you must be prepared to pay the big bucks. Hosting a wedding at the AMNH costs upwards of $300 per guest, not to mention the mandatory $3,500 museum Patron Membership fee, and $11,000 for museum admission!

  • Château Vaux-le-Vicomte
    Maincy, France

Paris may be the city of love, but the most romantic French wedding spot is actually located south of the city, in a small commune called Maincy! Château Vaux-le-Vicomte, designed by the same masterminds behind Versailles in the 17th century, is set on 100 acres of land. Wealthy socialiate Vanisha Mittal was famously married here in 2004 for a cool $75 million.

  • Hotel Caruso
    Ravello, Italy

If you're envisioning a heavenly European backdrop for your wedding reception, then the Italian Hotel Caruso is the venue for you! Complete with luxurious outdoor seating, an incredible infinity pool, and possibly the most breath-taking scenic backdrop in the world, this is the stuff of dream weddings.

  • Little Palm Island
    Little Torch Key, Florida

Getting married on Little Palm Island, located in the Florida Keys, means literally getting an island to yourself. Accessed only via private boat or seaplane, the 5-acre island is a resort in itself, and the perfect romantic wedding getaway!

  • New York Public Library
    New York, New York

You may know of the New York Public Library as a posh wedding venue from Sex and the City, but you don't have to be Carrie Bradshaw to make it happen! The famously grand library is actually one of the most coveted wedding venues in the world. Merely reserving the space, however, costs over $50,000.

  • Oberoi Udaivilas
    Udaipur, India

For a more exotic atmosphere at your dream wedding, the best option around is the Oberoi Udaivilas, located in the heart of India. Combining the ancient charm of Indian scenery and architecture, with modern, luxurious amenities, the pricy hotel captures the feel of an accessible Indian palace.

  • Odescalchi Castle
    Rome, Italy

This majestic Roman castle is perhaps best known as the over-the-top location of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' nuptials. Because many brides fancy themselves a princess, what better place to say "I Do" than a real life castle?

  • The Plaza Hotel
    New York, New York

Now for a classic, we give you the wedding spots of all wedding spots: The Plaza Hotel. Perhaps the most posh, exclusive (and expensive) venue in all of New York City, The Plaza is absolutely timeless. An added plus side to the cost of this location? They will comp the bridal suite, as well as a special wedding cake by famous cake artists Ron Ben-Israel and Sylvia Weinstock!
