2014 New Year's Resolutions: Celebrations Team Edition

Another year, another fresh start and another time to try to make ourselves better people. Yep, it's time for New Year's resolutions -- and a time to make sure we actually stick to them throughout the year.

Even though New Year's resolutions tend to lose their luster by mid-February, there's something about starting a new year out with a clean slate, and working towards a brand new goal. And New Year's resolutions don't have to be monumental or entirely life-changing -- we can strive for anything, big or small, to make ourselves better people and ensure that we have the best year yet.

But as much as we want to work hard to achieve our resolution, it's hard to stay motivated in the precious weeks after the new year when work, family, school and other obligations get in the way. This year, stick to your goal and stay on track by sending a card to your loved ones with your resolution, and make them hold you accountable. When you tell someone you plan to do something, it makes it that much harder to fail.

I asked the Celebrations staff what they planned to accomplish in the new year. Instead of the typical responses -- lose weight, quit smoking, pay off those dreaded credit cards -- I was surprised by the clever and unique goals my coworkers had set for themselves.

Take a look at our New Year's resolutions for 2014, and let us know what you plan to accomplish in the new year. Do you have any helpful tips and tricks to stick to your goal? Are you going to make sure your loved ones hold you accountable?
