6 Simple DIY Holiday Gifts For Coworkers

As December quickly approaches, we will soon be in the midst of a gift buying frenzy, where the pressure is on to find the perfect holiday present for everyone on your list.

While you may already have some great ideas for friends and family, finding the perfect gift for your co-workers can be a bit trickier. If you're looking for some easier, more budget-friendly options, check out some of my favorite DIY ideas from around the web. These fantastic tutorials will hopefully inspire you to opt for a more homemade holiday season.

  • I am a huge fan of tote bags, and I think this DIY one from Sincerely Kinsey is perfect for the winter. Using fabric ink and stamps, you can create a one-of-a-kind printed tote for each co-worker. You can even fill the patterned tote with some of their favorite items.
  • How about a gift that will brighten up their work space? Using just 3 round cork trivets and some colorful ribbons, you can create these cork boards for your coworkers to use as beautiful decor in the office. You can find the materials list and instructions for creating this festive gift over at U Create Crafts.

  • You can make taking notes at that Monday morning meeting a bit more enjoyable with this gilded journal for each co-worker. Transform a pocket-sized journal into something a bit more unique and colorful by following these steps from Design Mom. You can personalize them even further by adding each co-workers initial to the front of the notebook.
  • This DIY gift idea is slightly more involved than the others on this list but it yields a beautiful result; a custom ombre chevron necklace! Crafter extraordinaire Heather of Twin Dragonfly Designs provides a great step-by-step guide to making your own. Creating a necklace for each coworker in their favorite color would make for a beautiful and thoughtful holiday gift.
  • I LOVE this handmade, monogrammed mug idea from blogger The Domestikated Life. Any coffee or tea drinker would enjoy having one of these personalized mugs around the office. Simply stencil their initials, fill in with a permanent marker, and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes and you are good to go! You can even fill the mug with their favorite candies or chocolates for an extra touch.

  • During the cold winter months, who wouldn't appreciate this citrus scrub? Rather than opting for the pricey store-bought version, you can make your own! Simply combine sea salt, lemon zest and light olive oil and you can create a fun and budget-friendly gift.
