Baby Elephant Baby Shower Ideas

I'm a BIG elephant lover - anyone who knows me, knows they're my absolute favorite. So, it's no surprise that I always enjoy looking at elephant anything, but when I stumbled across this elephant baby shower over at The Modest Homestead there was something more that inspired me in addition to all the elephant eye candy.

I've been to lots of baby showers and have scrolled through even more than I can count on the Web. LeAnn from The Modest Homestead's elephant baby shower she hosted for her little sister impressed and inspired me because she made it so much about that new little bundle of joy than anything else. She also did a stellar job of pulling together lots of patterns and colors to create this look.

Nearly all of her baby shower decorations can be repurposed as decor for baby Ava's nursery and while all of the decor makes such a beautiful display, it's a design that's very attainable for even the most amateur planner.

Take a peek at some of the shower highlights we loved so much, then head over to the Modest Homestead to see even more!

  • LeAnn's decision to incorporate the baby's name in her decorations is sweet, but also reflective of the overall fact that this shower is meant for baby. Keep clicking through to see just what we mean - from decor to games, this elephant baby shower was all about celebrating little Ava!

Another note, everything in this decorative display, from those letters to the stuffed elephants to the fabric circles, can actually be used to decorate the baby's nursery. Extra points for that!

  • On top of those decorations in the display, we thought LeAnn took the whole bunting banner display to a new, even more amazing level by using an assortment of girly clothing that matched her color scheme and theme so perfectly.

  • Another focal point of this pastel hued elephant baby shower was the dessert table LeAnn set up. We absolutely think the addition of the little cabana takes this dessert table display from nice to fabulous. It gives it added height, dimension and also enhances the elephant theme perfectly!

  • Among all the treats on LeAnn's dessert display were cupcakes and a cake. As sweet as the cupcakes were - especially with those adorable toppers - we can't help but swoon over the cake. The romantic and whimsical swirl design is one we never tire of seeing and it added such a chic appeal to the display here.

  • There was another cake at the shower, too. While guests couldn't enjoy a bite of the diaper cake, it made for a perfect party decoration as well as themed baby shower gift. We can really appreciate that adorable mini elephant bunting and the personalized name embellishment - with just that and a couple of basic supplies, LeAnn got herself a statement making centerpiece for her party!

  • LeAnn had a few activities set up at her sister's baby shower for guests to enjoy. Decorating baby supplies like onesies and bibs has become a popular baby shower activity choice of late and we're impressed with the selection of supplies she gave her guests. In a bit of a twist, rather than have guests offer baby advice for the mom-to-be, she gave each guest a card to fill out with advice and wishes for baby.

  • As big nail polish fans we couldn't help but gush over this baby shower game prize! As if OPI's cleverly named polish wasn't sweet enough, the little elephant tag LeAnn added gives it even more charm.

  • As guests left the shower LeAnn had a table full of body scrubs in mini mason jars ready to hand out to everyone - perhaps a nod to the mud baths actual elephants enjoy so much? Regardless, this body scrub is a great baby shower favor you can make that guests are guaranteed to appreciate!
