Featured Party: PJs and Pearls Oscar Theme Party

Oscar night is almost here and we love to throw a good party with our girl friends to watch the show. The drama and glamour of the red carpet is always a must watch with a glass of champagne or two.

We recently came across this Oscar theme party from the gals over at SaucyPants. What a cute idea to host a pjs and pearls party for Oscar night! Your friends can relax in their pajamas while nibbling on bite sized treats and of course you have to have a popcorn bar.

They also have some great tips to add DIY decor throughout your party, even how to make your own red carpet backdrop, popcorn bags and swag boxes.

Scroll through the gallery for tons of inspiration for your Oscar party this Sunday!

  • Every Oscar party needs a dessert bar. What else are you supposed to much on in your PJs and pearls? Set up a cute display with mini bites like macarons and cupcakes.

  • Since the Oscars are all about the movies, a popcorn bar is an absolute must. Put popcorn in large apothecary jars for guests to serve themselves, then in smaller bowls, place a various array of toppings like nuts, chocolate chunks, melted chocolate and extra virgin olive oil.

  • To go along with your popcorn bar, you will need bags for your guests to snack out of. To achieve a vintage look, take a black treat bag and decorate them with a white or silver marker!

  • While we all love sweets, it is always nice to set up some appetizers on your coffee table. Decorate it with a lace runner and glamorous candle sticks or flowers. Saucy Pants chose to serve a grapefruit and orange citrus salad as well as peach, brie & fig crostini.

  • Set up a DIY red carpet for when guests arrive. You can even make you own step and repeat for picture taking purposes and print out little mustaches as props!

  • Make sure to serve champagne along with your cupcakes and you can even make DIY gold-leafed glasses to play on the vintage feel of the party.

  • Just like a real Oscar party, you might want to give away some swag too. Fill them with mini macarons and decorate them with printed tags, ribbon and faux black flowers.

  • Last but not least, don't forget to decorate your party with these fun printables that SaucyPants created!
