Gluten-Free Super Bowl Appetizer Recipes

Even if no one cares about the actual Super Bowl game (yes, I'm guilty), everyone loves a good Super Bowl party. Mainly, people just love gathering around good, home-cooked comfort food and cold drinks. Yes, even people who (by choice or otherwise) live a gluten-free lifestyle.

So make sure your gluten-free friends and relatives can enjoy some delicious Super Bowl cuisine without resorting to the boring old carrots and dip routine.

And just because these delicious recipes don't include bread or gluten ingredients, doesn't mean they aren't hearty enough for your watch party. Each recipe is tasty enough for all of your guests to enjoy -- and give your gluten-sensitive guests even more options of snacks to nosh on. I mean, who doesn't love loaded potato skins or mozzarella sticks?

[Editor's note: Although these recipes are ideal for those who are cutting gluten out of their diet, double-check the ingredients for any cross-contamination that might affect anyone who has Celiac Disease.]

  • Loaded Potato Skins

Ingredients in a batch of traditional loaded potato skins are naturally gluten-free, so load these bad boys up with bacon, sour cream, chives and melty cheese. Get the recipe from Just a Taste

  • Chicken, Bacon and Cheese Taquito

Taquitos are the perfect bite-sized app that's meaty and manly enough for a whole group of Super Bowl fans. This recipe from Mom What's for Dinner is made with corn tortillas, which cut out the gluten completely.

  • Meatballs with Homemade Sweet Chili Sauce

These meatballs fromPlanning with Kids are made with chicken and bacon, so it's no surprise they are gluten-free. Dip these bite-sized beauties into some homemade sweet chili sauce for the perfect finger food everyone will love.

  • Buffalo Cauliflower Bites

Nothing beats a big batch of Buffalo Chicken Wings, but these gluten-free Buffalo Cauliflower Bites from Mom Endeavors come close. They are a little healthier than traditional wings, but still pack the delicious taste of yummy buffalo. This recipe is made with rice flower, so they can be enjoyed by your gluten-free guests.

  • Gluten-Free Mozzarella Sticks

These mozzarella sticks are deep-fried, so they're definitely not a healthier option. But if you're just looking to cut back on gluten consumption, make these Gluten-Free Mozzarella Sticks from Gluten-Free Recipe Box. The recipes uses rice flour to cut out the gluten from the recipe.

  • Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Sweet potatoes are naturally gluten-free, so excuse me while I dive head-first into a heaping pile of sweet potato fries. This recipe from Sally's Baking Addiction is baked, not fried, which saves some calories and fat. But the crispy result is so delicious, your guests won't even notice.
