How Celebs Celebrate the Big 3-0

Don't dread your thirties; go out with a bang! As everyone says, "30 is the new 20." And we totally agree, except for one thing: 30 is so much better! 

You're more accomplished and way wiser than you were at 20, and can also afford to spend a little more on your party outfit.

Some of our favorite celebs did 30 the right way. Some went out with a bang, some spend an intimate evening at home, and others decided to dish the materialistic celebration and give back. Take some tips from this A-listers and say goodbye to 29!


  • 3 parties for one birthday? Seem a bit excessive to us, but Kim K thinks otherwise. Her main bash took place at the infamous Tao in Las Vegas, but her celebrations continued in New York and Canada. And yes, each party had it’s own cake – including her infamous $1.65 million dollar diamond encrusted dessert. Ain’t no party like a Kardashian party!

  • For the big 3-0, Kanye took over Lous Vuitton in NYC with some of his A-list friends and a bear-y tasty birthday cake. As if partying in the luxurious fashion house wasn’t enough, Kanye wrapped the celebration up with an after party at club Tenjune.

  • Justin Bieber did it for his 18th, and Adam Lambert is doing it for his 30th. Instead of a lavish bash, he asked fans to donate money to a charity that provides people with clean drinking water.

  • Beyonce’s had more than just her birthday to celebrate – the proud Mama had just publicly announced her pregnancy before jet setting to Italy with Jay Z for a romantic dinner date. The icing on the cake? Madam Tussaud’s in Washington D.C added a special 30th birthday Beyonce to their collection of Wax Figures.

  • Another reason to love Britney? She spent her 30th ice skating in Houston with her Hubby and then cuddling in bed with her two sons. A celeb who has definitely got her priorities right!
