I Scream, You Scream, We all Scream for Ice Cream!

If you love to cool off with a nice scoop of ice cream than check out some of these homemade flavors and the best of all things ice cream. I scream, you scream we all scream for ice cream!

Ice cream can pretty much make anything better. If you are having rough day at work or just need a pick me up when feeling stressed, what else could be better than grabbing a cone full of this great dessert. When the weather is hot, hot, hot like it’s been here in NYC you will want something cold to snack on. A day like today is perfect for something cold, something sweet and something delicious as well…so, go grab some ice cream!

While craving a tall cone myself, I decided to pick out some delicious ice cream recipes. Some of these flavors are perfect to try at home because you won’t find them at your standard Baskin Robbins! Check out the best of all things ice cream.

  • Peanut Butter Pretzel Chocolate Chunk Ice Cream

Just writing about this flavor makes my mouth drool. The taste is as amazing as the name. When I discovered those mini pretzels packed with peanut butter I thought it couldn’t get any better, but it has! Just crush up those peanut butter pretzels and blend them into this chocolate chunk ice cream. To blow your mind a little more, Love From The Oven chose to pack this ice cream into a pretzel cone!

  • Peanut Butter Cookies and Cream Ice Cream

This takes the classic cookies and cream to a whole new level. Kick it up a notch by adding in some peanut butter and blend the perfect Oreo and peanut butter ice cream that everyone will love.

  • Nutty Beer Ice Cream

Betty Crocker came up with this scrumptious recipe with, yup you guessed it, beer! Both the dark beer and the beer nuts used in this recipe make the ice cream so decadent and flavorful. Although dark beer gives you more flavor, if you aren’t a fan of the bitter taste, swap it out for any of your favorite brands.

  • Oreo Ice Cream Truffles

These mini ice cream truffles are so delicious you won’t be able to put them down. The best part? They’re popsicle-like so you can avoid the major mess that comes with drippy ice cream cones.

  • Biscoff Cookie Ice Cream Tacos

Remember those ice cream tacos we all used to love buying as kids? Well, here is the new, mature version that is much healthier for you, I’m sure. Opt for biscoff cookies and biscoff spread to keep the ice cream inside these “taco shells.” In the end these ice cream tacos will taste even better than the ones as kids because you made them all from scratch!

  • Throw and Ice Cream Social Party

You are never too old to host a good old fashioned ice cream social. Get together with your friends or your kids and grab some pints of ice cream. Everyone will love the trip down memory lane as they add their own toppings and blend together their ice cream sodas. Who doesn't love such a hands on experience?

  • Chocolate and Orange Bowl Ice Cream Sundae

This chocolate and orange ice cream sundae puts a new spin on your favorite dessert classic. This is one of the simplest sundaes you’ll ever make, but it looks so elegant. Scoop out a sliced orange and fill it in with any ice cream of your choice. Lastly, pile it up with as many toppings as you can fit and you have the perfect mini sundae with a unique hint of orange.
