March Madness Party Cocktail Recipes

If you are a basketball fan, you are no doubt anxiously awaiting the start of those glorious few weeks known as March Madness. With all of the frenzy comes the opportunity to gather friends and host a watch party.

Planning a party this year? This means that several thristy sports fans will be flocking to your home to watch the NCAA tournamanent. Sure, you could pick up a few cases of beer, but if you are looking to mix up something a bit more creative check out some of my favorite cocktail options instead.  Make sure you're ready to celebrate sweet victory with a few fun drink recipes! 


  • Slam Dunk Punch

    First up is this appropriately-named Slam Dunk Punch, which includes delicious ingredients such as orange sherbet, orange liquor and Tequila. Sure, this drink is a bit more involved than your standard cocktail recipe, but I think the end result will be well worth the efforts. There is even a great video tutorial you can follow to make sure your punch recipe is perfect.

  • Cranberry Old Fashioned

    There is nothing quite like drinking a good Old-Fashioned cocktail while sitting back and enjoying the game. This Cranberry Old-Fashioned from Southern Living is perfect for impressing your guests during half time. Simply stir in bourbon, cranberry sauce, and a splash of club soda.

  • Chela Rosa Beer Cocktail.

    If beer is your beverage of choice but you are looking to kick things up a notch, try this Chela Rosa Beer Cocktail featured on Lifestyle Mirror. The recipe calls for Campari, tequila, and sweet vermouth, which you combine and strain into a beer glass. The last step involves adding a your favorite pilsner and enjoying while you watch the game.

  • Coconut Vodka Jell-O Shots

    How about some Jell-O shots? How about some basketball shaped Jell-O shots served up in a clementine?! This amazing spiked treat is simple to create and incredible fun to serve. Follow our recipe and video tutorial and you'll have the perfect shot to take in honor of your favorite team.

  • Bracket Buster Cocktail

    This Bracket Buster Cocktail from Taylor Takes a Taste was created by bloggers Sally James & Taylor Mathis. The recipe is inspired by the city of Atlanta and calls for peach infused bourbon, which is then mixed with a muddle of brown sugar, lime juice, and fresh basil. This refreshing drink sounds amazing and is certainly worth of any March Madness celebration.

  • Overtime Cocktail Recipe

    End the game with this Overtime Cocktail, featured on Five O'Clock Cocktails. there are definitely some adventurous ingredients involved, such as Jameson Irish Whiskey and Tabasco sauce but the end result produces a spicy, delicious sip.
