Marilyn Monroe Inspired Prom Dessert Table

Prom is always a memorable night in every teenagers life. Make it extra special by adding some glam and sparkle with this idea for a Marilyn Monroe themed dessert table.

Our featured party this week, Debbie did an amazing job creating a buffet-style table and turning it into a chic dessert bar for her friend's daughter's senior prom.

Chock full of DIY ideas and recipes, scroll through to gallery to check out Debbie's tips on how to recreate her Marilyn Monroe inspired prom table.

  • Debbie went for a pink, black and white color scheme for this dessert table. You can see the DIY elements scattered throughout as well as really creative desserts that every guest will love. We especially love the the cute sign posted behind the table welcoming Morgan & Chris!

  • Remember diamonds are a girl's best friend? Cotton candy can be easily dressed up with a few diamond rhinestones and cute printable signs for a glitzy touch. Girls especially will love the individual pink and white boxes!

  • Now this treat is one for the guys. You can easily buy mustache molds and create these chocolate mustaches on a stick. Not only are they delicious, but they make for a great photo opp during the party!

  • For some added decoration, Debbie made these pretty flowers out of pink and white polka dot paper napkins. She incorporated some gorgeous silver satin ribbon to look like the stems of the flowers. Chic and easy!

  • Gumballs were a big hit at the party. Debbie found these pearlized pink and silver ones and placed them in large wine glasses adorned with satin ribbons and even more fake diamonds. You can never go wrong with added glam!

  • Ditch the cake and opt for a dozen cake pops. You can easily make these at home and add a festive party straw in the top for some added flair. We love how Debbie added a printable topper that said the prom couple's names. Adorable!

  • Another snack the girls will appreciate, pretty vintage dress cookies on a stick! These delicate bites are very reminiscent of Marilyn.

  • Since this was a senior prom, Debbie thought it would be great to serve these fortune cookies to bring them good luck in their endeavors ahead. For your own twist, dip the ends of the cookies in pink candy melts and cover in pink glitter. Marilyn would have loved it!

  • Thanks so much to Debbie of Party Patisserie for sharing this amazing party with us!
