Our Top 12 Pins of 2012

We are so grateful for Pinterest. From the daily inspiration it brings us to allowing us to share our DIY ideas, crafts, parties and recipes with our closest fans, it is something we look forward to every day.

Since really incorporating Pinterest into Celebrations, we're able to see what content you have loved the most by how many times it was pinned and shared across our favorite social channel.

As 2012 comes to an end, we are sharing our top 12 pins from the past year from fun recipes to craft ideas and more. All of which you loved, tried at home and shared with your friend and family.

Happy New Year!

  • This low fat skinny chicken broccoli alfredo dish was our most pinned of 2012 this year. A creamy, healthier version of your usual Alfredo sauce, its made with Greek yogurt and chicken stock for extra flavor.

  • What's better than a margarita in cake form? A boozy cake with tequila of course! This margarita birthday cake (for adults only) is the perfect way to celebrate your big day and our Pinterest fans felt the same way!

  • Chalkboard paint was obviously big in crafting this year. This cute DIY paper flower bouquet was popular because of it's flowers made out of old books and chalkboard metal bucket vase. A unique accent for your home or an original centerpiece for any table.

  • We've had so many fans of these chocolate dipped peanut butter banana bites this year! Readers sent us personal art they drew to replicate the bites as well as photos of their own creations.

  • This DIY teepee tutorial is a great way to enjoy the outdoors with your kids. Moms tried it out with their children for parties or just an everyday activity. We love when our readers turn our pins into a reality!

  • One of our fabulous contributors Vanessa made every day tin cans look merry and bright by turning them into "joy" holiday luminaries. The ease of this beautiful craft made our readers fall in love with it!

  • Liquid birthday cake shots? Sign us up! Our readers loved our boozy twist on your typical vanilla birthday cake.

  • Moms loved this homemade version of Play-Doh on Pinterest this year. The best part? It's rainbow colored and full of glitter.

  • An easy twist on a plain white cupcake, our readers loved adding a little bit of pink lemonade to the mix for some added sweetness.

  • Many of our readers celebrated Halloween this year with a few of these candy corn Jell-O shots. It's as easy as adding your vodka and layering your orange Jell-O over the yellow for an easy Halloween shooter.

  • We all love eggnog, but our contributor Coryanne put a fun holiday twist on the creamy sip by turning it into a martini with vanilla vodka and a splash of dark rum.

  • This chocolate Guinness cupcake recipe with Guinness buttercream might be a year old, but our readers and Pinterest followers still love it! Perfect for football season or for your guy's birthday, this recipe is perfect for beer lovers.
