Simple, Romantic & Personalized Anniversary Party Ideas

Everyone loves a wedding, especially the photos and the flowers. This sentiment was the inspiration for the romantic anniversary party we hosted.

I brought the wedding flowers and photos to life in a vintage themed anniversary party using heirloom dishes and modern crafting supplies. With the  Stylish Framing Photo Anniversary invitations from Pear Tree Greetings as inspiration for the color theme, I tied in black, white and teal to create a rustic décor accented with illuminating mercury glass and candles.

Let the invitation paint the picture for the perfect party.

  • A picture says a thousand words and nowhere is this sentiment more true than with the Stylish Framing Photo Anniversary invitations from Pear Tree Greetings.

The story of a long-lived romance capturing the wedding couple and the anniversary couple illustrate the beauty of the romance and the sentiment of the party held in their honor. Simple, classic and emotive, this invitation sets the perfect stage for any anniversary celebration.

  • Dried hydrangeas in muted teal tones capture the color accent on the invitation and brought the memories of the wedding bouquet to life.

  • The vintage apothecary bottles and old family photos adorned my centerpiece, while the dye cut cameras whispering wedding vows tie in the anniversary sentiment to create a romantic feel along the table.

  • At each setting we had DIY place cards inspired by the photo of our couple and the invitation we sent out. Made with mini canvases, decorative tape and vinyl lettering, this crafty decoration adds a ton of personalization without too much work.

  • Simple decorative spotty tape continued the black and white theme and accented the vintage linens and silver flatware. The light touch of dried flowers and dye cut cameras decorate the napkin bundles to keep the décor consistent throughout.

  • The heirloom plates with black and white decals finished off the look of our spread, giving the table a vintage and timeless rainbow of black, white and shades of teal.

  • Special celebrations like anniversaries call for a guest book. We took the DIY route again here by making our own. Not only did this save money, but it also gave the couple of honor a memento that was filled with love and well wishes, and decorated in theme with the party for long lasting enjoyment.

  • Every party needs a signature sip. This sparkling cocktail recipe is infused with vanilla and pear flavors that add a softer, velvety touch to the tart champagne.

  • Don't forget the non-drinkers in your crowd. If you've got a few under aged kiddies around, or guests who prefer to stay away from the bubbly, make sure you have a mocktail recipe on hand. This chocolate cherry drink recipe is special enough for the occasion, but won't require a ton of added prep.
