Irresistible Vegetarian Grilling Recipes Featuring Fruit

If you're a vegetarian, or looking to serve some vegetarian options at your next summer BBQ, it may be hard to find recipes outside of simply grilled vegtables or tofu.

While those can certainly be delicious, I wanted to share some sweet treats featuring fruit. Each of these recipes are fairly simple with only a few ingredients. So, you'll be ready to host that BBQ in no time!

  • I'm all for any recipe that features delicious, fresh strawberries so I couldn't be more excited to share this BBQ strawberry pizza. This would be such a great option to serve as a quick side dish or appetizer. If strawberries aren't you thing, you could easily switch them out another berry.

  • For a delicious and sweet starter, try these grilled pears with cheese and almonds. Simply half each pear and grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side. Add brown sugar, almonds and your cheese of choice and this dish is ready to serve! These guys couldn't be easier to prepare and yet they will certainly impress.

  • You know what would make quesadillas even more amazing? Adding delicious grilled mango to the middle! This BBQ mango quesadillas recipe could be easily adapted to include all of your favorite summertime fruits. While the originally recipe calls for chicken, simply omit this ingredient to keep things vegetarian friendly.

  • If you're planning to serve up some veggie burgers, take things up a notch by including this red wine blueberry BBQ sauce. This sauce will basically guarantee that a plain burger is never eaten on your watch again! You can serve it as a dipping sauce as well for french fries, veggie chips or another tasty appetizer.

  • Just when I thought apples couldn't get any more delicious, I came across a recipe for these grilled apples with Parmesan cheese and honey. With a perfect combination of cheese and sweet fruit, this dish is definitely being added to my must-serve bbq menu.

  • I am going to go ahead and declare this grilled nectarines with mascarpone cream recipe to be one of the most delicious sounding barbeque dishes of all time. With ingredients like Greek yogurt, honey, mascarpone cheese and toasted almonds, how can you go wrong?!

  • Watermelon is a summer barbeque staple and if you're looking to turn this childhood treat into something more adult, I highly recommend this gilled watermelon yogurt recipe. Using greek yogurt, lemon juice, wine vinegar, mint and thyme you can transform a plan ol' piece of watermelon into an incredibly delicious side dish or dessert.
