Tennis Theme Garden Party Idea

Throw a gold-medal worthy party with these tennis theme party ideas! Recently my team and I helped plan the Miami launch of the clothing line, EleVen by Venus Williams. The event took place at the ocean-side tennis courts of the Bath Club in Miami Beach. Courtside, we set up a full dessert table that incorporated elements of tennis and Venus' clothing line. Throughout the party, white couches and chairs were set up  for guests. There are so many ways you can host a tennis theme garden party. Read on for all of my party tips!

  • When planning your tennis theme party, start by choosing the central colors you would like to incorporate throughout. For the EleVen party, we chose yellow and black as the main colors as well as vertical black and white patterns that match the EleVen clothing line.

  • Cupcakes are a party must have. Decorate them with mini tennis balls and a cute cupcake toppers for a simple way to tie them into your party's theme.

  • These Good Greens chocolate bars are wrapped with an EleVen design printable. Not only do they make for a sweet party treat, they are a great example of how to make your party more personal. Guests can even take them home as favors.

  • Every party needs a signature drink. We chose to serve a cocktail perfect for the tennis courts called the Honey Deuce. It's easy to make your own festive party drink and give it a creative name. Use a fun play on words and name your cocktail like we did, using tennis terms.

  • If you will be serving hors d'ourves, dress them up like we did with little flag toppers. It's an easy way to continue adding personal touches to your party and your guests will love the extra effort.

  • Lastly, no party is complete without cake. This sweet version of a tennis court can be easily replicated with some green and white fondant and a few mini cupcakes.
