Top Choreographed Wedding Dances

Between the ceremony, the celebrations, and of course the nerves, the couple’s first wedding dance is something they’ll most likely only remember through photos and videos.  That is unless your first dance is something outrageously fun and completely unique.

These newlyweds have chosen to make their first dance less traditional and more fun by choreographing their dance to some of their favorite pop hits and movie soundtracks. And if the couples are this wild, just imagine the guests!

Would you consider a choreographed first dance as a married couple? Do you enjoy these staged performances at weddings you attend?

  • Almost every little girl wishes she were Princess Peach, captured by the evil Wario only to be saved by her hero, Mario. This blushing bride’s dreams came true, and all of her family members and friends were there to witness it. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t at least a little bit jealous.

  • Rina and Nick’s dance may have started out simple, but things get pretty ‘crazy’ towards the end. We’ve gotta give Nick credit – those are some pretty impressive moves in formal shoes.

  •  This couple invited their whole wedding party to be part of their special dance, and boy did their friends deliver!  We’re not sure how appropriate “Apple Bottom Jeans” is for a wedding, but they somehow made it work.

  • This newlywed couple chose to dance for the first time to Sir Mix Alot’s “Baby Got Back”. And while I can’t say I would make the same choice for my first dance, this couple seems pretty confident in their choice and dance moves.

  • The original choreographed wedding entrance, this couple had their wedding party show off their dance and acrobatic skills before the bride made her grand entrance into her hubby’s arms.

  • You may claim that Dirty Dancing is your favorite movie, but you’ve got nothing on Julia and James. This happy couple recreated Johnny and Frances’ famous last dance, down to Johnny’s favorite black polo.

  • This couple’s first dance choice? Micheal Jackson’s Thriller. I have yet to meet one person who doesn’t love this song, but this pair definitely takes that love to a new level.

  • Virginia and Brian decided to celebrate their wedding with some fun favorites from the ultimate good-girl-loves-bad-boy movie Grease. All that’s missing is Danny Zuco’s infamous T-Birds jacket.

  • John and Jessica saw their first dance as an opportunity to show off their wide range of dance moves – by recreating the viral “evolution of dance” video.

  • These groomsmen sure are dedicated! Their entrance just demands attention – especially when they rip off their pants revealing a scandalous pair of boxers with the groom’s face printed on.
