10 Spring Activities For Kids

Spring is here which means tons of fun activities both inside and outside for the kids. The ideas are endless! 


Get them crafting with natural elements in the backyard, decorating their room or the fridge and even making edible crafts.

Tie dying t-shirts are a great way to let children show their true colors. With a few rubber bands and the proper dye, let them have fun creating colorful shirts they can wear all spring.

DIY-Octopus-Yarn-Craft-Idea-For-Kids

If your child has a love for the ocean, they will really have fun making their own octopus doll. If they are really young, you will have to keep them away from a glue gun, but you can teach them how to braid each section and decorate the ends with extra yarn or ribbon!

Kids that love the outdoors will have run making their own rainbow wind catchers out of party streamers. They are easy to make and kids can hang them up in the backyard with yarn and watch them blow together in the wind.

Most children won't complain when getting dirty is involved in an activity. Have them help you make a mini herb or flower garden. The image above happens to be a sensory tub that used fake flowers. Great to teach kids how to plant indoors!

If you want take activities indoors for a while, kids will really go crazy over this homemade bathtub puffy paint. All you need is grated soap, dye, hot water and a food processor and you can whip up some seriously colorful suds for your tub.

For the little chef, have them decorate their own aprons with fabric markers. They can even glue on jewels or add some glitter for some extra glam!

Another great way to get the kids excited for spring is to have them grow beans in little mason jars with cotton balls. It's a fun project to teach kids how to take care of plants, but also they will love observing each step the plant takes in its growth cycle.

Little girls love to play dress up, so why not have them craft their accessories? Whether they want to be a fairy or a princess, this DIY tissue paper crown is a great way to get them started. You can even add a pretty veil if she wants to be a fairy bride!

With a few paper cups and coffee filters, let kids make their own spring flowers filled with candy. Make sure to use dye if you are going to be filling the cups with candy, not paint.
