3 Must-Make Crockpot Drinks This Winter
When it's cold out, drink something warm made in a Crockpot! Try these 3 must-have drink recipes made in a slow cooker.
Winter is Crockpot season! The time to make warm pulled pork, homemade soups and chilis, delicious sauces, and of course, the time to experiment. While I love a good cocktail, I decided to do some research on a different type of hot drink that could really soothe the soul.
Your typical slow cooker sip might consist of tea or apple cider, but this year I'm drinking up all the pure chocolate, maple and caramel goodness I can find. Well, on the internet that is!
These three must-make drinks are on the sweet side and are definitely more intense in flavor than your typical recipe because all of the ingredients have been slowly cooked to a warm perfection.
1. Hot Chocolate
Long gone are the days when you microwave your hot cocoa. If you're really looking for that rich, intense chocolate flavor, you're not going to get it from powdered product or chocolate sauce. The blog How Sweet Eats made an amazing crockpot hot chocolate that tastes like you are literally drinking chocolate in liquid form. What's not to love about a sweet concoction of dark chocolate, dutch cocoa powder and homemade coconut whipped cream?!

Kick your apple cider up a notch with the sweet addition of caramel sauce. Melissa from No. 2 Pencil adds cinnamon sticks and tops her cider with whipped cream and more caramel for warm, sweet sip to cozy up by the fire with.
