4 Easy Individual Pudding Dessert Ideas

Made with pudding, chocolate cupcakes, a layer of graham crackers and whipped cream, who could resist these delicious dessert ideas!

Every year for my dad's birthday, instead of getting him a present I make him a really fantastic dessert. He's got a big sweet tooth, but his favorite dessert by far is pudding. Really, dad? You want me to make some instant pudding and toss it into a pre-made graham cracker crust for you? While that truly is his favorite dessert, I'm a bit more ambitious with my baking and always want to go the extra mile for his birthday.

Last year I really tried to go for the wow factor and made him cake pops. I did it the old fashioned way by baking the cakes and adding frosting and molding them by hand. (Now I have a cake pop machine to make the process much faster). Anyway, after spending so much time baking, molding, and decorating the cake pops, he didn't really care for them. Well there goes that!

This year, I'm surrendering to the instant pudding, but on my terms. If I'm going to make him the easiest dessert of all time, I have to add my own creative twist.

And so, I'm turning to you guys - what dessert should trump the others? In the spirit of our recent elections, please exercise your right to vote and give me a hand! Choices in our comments section below would be much appreciated!

The S'mores Trifle

Made with pudding, chocolate cupcakes, a layer of graham crackers and whipped cream, what guy could resist that? A hefty portion of the dessert would still be made with his favorite ingredient and I think once the intense flavor combination hit his belly he won't be complaining too much!

Bananas also happen to be a favorite of my dad's so really the best idea would be to combine his two loves into one out of this world dessert. Simple and creamy, this banana parfait with vanilla wafers might just be the perfect birthday present this year.

Instant coffee with fudge sauce and vanilla pudding are great flavor combinations that allow me to put a little bit more effort into a dessert. The presentation of layered pudding with whipped cream and peanuts will let me achieve an A+ for presentation and sweetness.

Mini Chocolate Pudding Cookie Cups

This dessert allows me to do a little bit of baking, which is a win-win in my book! Dad will love the sugar cookie base as well as their mini size. He will probably eat them all whole and gobble them up in one sitting.

And there you have it! Four very fun and delicious ideas for my dad's birthday all incorporating his favorite dessert, instant pudding. Which do you think I should make for him?
