5 Simple Ways to Dress Up Picnic Utensils

We know that mason jars can be used as cups, virtually anything can be used as a plate, but what about the forks and spoons? Aside from using your trusty hand or impossible chopsticks, the traditional forks and spoons aren’t going anywhere.

So since we can’t get creative with what we use, we’ll get creative with how we decorate them!

Adding some dazzle to your flatware can add a festive feel to your spread, without being overpowering or taking away from your décor. Since you’ll be using these utensils for food, it’s important to take extra care with what products you use and making sure your utensils are 100% dry before use. And don’t forget, tying your utensil set with a bow is always cute, and undeniably easy!

A super easy and quick way to add some flair to your utensils is with Designer Duct Tape. Simply cut a thin strip large enough to wrap around the utensil, and you have a festive accent! Choose designs and colors to complement your décor and play up your theme.

Here’s an easy way to add some bright and bold flair to your utensils. Trade your usual box of disposable plastic forks and spoons for a set made of wood.  Besides being way easier to decorate and personalize, wooden serve ware is better for both you and the environment. We used neon colors to suit our summertime soiree, but you can experiment with different shades to fit your theme!

Surprised at how much elegance is added by simply wrapping your flatware in embroidery floss? We love the simple peach color for a touch of simplistic chic, but you can opt for any color to make yours stand out. This DIY certainly has us thinking about what else can be wrapped in embroidery floss.
