How to Create a Gorgeous Flower Arrangement for a Pretty Spring Party

With spring fast approaching, we love incorporating fresh flowers into our spring party decor. Whether you're creating a centerpiece, fresh tablescape or just some pretty arrangements to liven up your space, I've got some key tips for creating a beautiful spring arrangement.

For the featured arrangement, I used: hyacinth, anemones, roses, thistle, tulips, calla lilies and billy balls. However, to create a pretty spring floral arrangement, you can use any seasonal flowers you'd like. Just be sure to be mindful of how you are arranging them so you can maximize color, texture, and look without overdoing it on price.

Check out some of my key flower arranging tips below, and get excited to spruce up your space with a beautiful spring flower arrangement!

Expert Flower Arranging Tips from Carly Cylinder:

● Start with the bigger flowers first. Place the biggest flowers in the vase or trough first, and then fill with the smaller ones.

● Space out flowers evenly when working on a long and low vase, instead of working from one side to another

● Mix and match colors making sure to bring a pop of vibrant if you're using pastel and vice versa

● Use greenery from outside shrubs to add in after you arrange your  flowers. (I don't use any greenery a lot of the time).

● Create rows of colors for an easy, yet pulled-together arrangement

● Use inexpensive flowers, and keep them grouped by color to enrich their look.

● If your arrangement is going to be used as a centerpiece, avoid overly fragrant flowers (you don't want that to mix and overpower the smell of your food).

● If you're not arranging flowers that day, keep them fresh by placing flowers in buckets of ice with optional flower food.
