15 Best Restaurants in America to Wine & Dine Your Business Associates

Inviting clients or important business associates to a business dinner is supposed to be as enjoyable as it is productive. You want to find a place that's entertaining and has great food, but also has an atmosphere condusive to connecting with colleagues or closing deals. (I'm going out on a limb here, but I would assume no major business decision has ever been made at a Senior Frogs).

Check out some of these prime locations for a business dinner all across the country. Whether you have a big business meeting planned, a more laid-back company event or something in between, these food joints not only have a delicious menu, but a great atmosphere for your meeting. 


1. New York City: Porter House

You can't go to New York without enjoying a delicious piece of steak. For a dining experience that has it all -- the gourmet food, stunning views of Central Park and service to boot -- head to Porter House in the Columbus Circle area of Manhattan. It will really wow even your biggest clients.


2. Philadelphia: Fountains at the Four Seasons

For another nice and upscale dining experience, check out the Fountains restaurant inside the Four Seasons hotel. The American restaurant has French influence, and has the ambiance ideal for business; contemporary art and furniture, with the option of private rooms that can hold up to 14 people. 


3. Boston: Bistro du Midi

Bistro du Midi has been described as "classy, not stuffy" and for good reason. The modern Provencal cuisine can be enjoyed inside the contemporary-decorated restaurant, outdoors or in one of the private dining spaces.

The warm ambiance is perfect for a business dinner that will certainly impress your clients and guests.


6. Chicago: Shanghai Terrace

If you're looking to change up your typical steakhouse routine (there are so many to choose from in Chicago), treat your colleagues to a unique dining experience at Shanghai Terrace, a beautiful Chinese restaurant at the Peninsula Hotel. 7. Dallas: Fearing's

You can't visit the South without some hearty Southern cooking, and chef Dean Fearing has created an impeccible menu of New Texas cuisine at his restaurant Fearing's. Located in the Ritz-Carlton, is has several rooms that ideal for business dining. And with sides like mac & cheese, shrimp hushpuppies creamy corn bread pudding, everyone will leave with a full stomach. 


8. St. Louis: Tony's

If business brings you to St. Louis, then Tony's, located downtown on Market Street, is the place to dine. Tony's boasts fine Italian cuisine – think House Made Fettuccine with Sea Urchin and Crab, and Herbed Baked Lobster with Pancetta Risotto – and an impressive wine list to boot. 


9. Nashville: Capitol Grille

Nashville's Capitol Grille has been a favorite for business dinners for years, thanks to its delicious, yet approachable menu. Chef Tyler Wilson has created dishes that are reflective of the city, with menu items such as Wedge Oak Farms Pork and Border Springs Farm Lamb. Located on the lower level of the Hermitage Hotel, it's the perfect location for any business event. 


10. New Orleans: Rib Room

If you're doing business in New Orleans, consider yourself lucky; the city is home to some of the best cuisine in the world. For a business dinner, check out the Rib Room located in the Omni Hotel. With a menu crafted by Executive Chef Michael Gottlieb, expect a menu perfect for beef lovers with some Cajun and Creole influences. Private dining is also an option. 


11. Las Vegas: Joel Rubochon

If you're really looking to impress your most sophisticated clients in Vegas, then there's no better spot than Joel Robuchon at the MGM Grand. The world-famous French chef makes his mark at the Las Vegas spot with intensely flavorful food served in a luxurious and decadent atmosphere, with no detail left untouched. The 10-course tasting menu costs $425 a person. But for a dining experience you'll remember forever, it's completely worth it. 


12. Los Angeles: Patina

Patina, located right next to the Walt Disney Concert Hall, is an overall sophisticated dining experience with top-notch service. Enjoy contemporary French cuisine inside or al fresco, and be sure to make a selection from their award-winning wine list. Private dining space is also available. 


13. Miami: Azul

Take in beautiful views of the ocean at Azul, where you'll find a unique menu of French cuisine with Asian influences. The light seafood fare is what you'd expect to enjoy right on the water, and the ambiance can't be beat when it comes to business dinners.


14. San Francisco: Parallel 37

Although San Fran has an abundance of business dinner spots, a tried and true location is Parallel 37, a dining spot located at the Ritz-Carlton. It offers "globally-inspired California cuisine," made with seasonal produce and the best ingredients you would expect to find in the San Francisco Bay Area. 


15. Seattle: Six Seven

Located in downtown Seattle, Six Seven offers breathtaking views of the water that can't be beat. Serving Pacific Northwest Cuisine, you and your colleagues will be treated to signature regional dishes such as Plank Salmon, Miso Halibut and Diver Scallops. It was even voted the best restaurant in Seattle for business and lunch dinners by Best of City Search in 2010, so you know it's a good choice.
