Glam Party Decor in Minutes: DIY Gold Glitter Scalloped Banner

This is my go-to décor item when I don’t have too much time but I need something that will elevate a party and make it feel extra fancy.

My favorite way to use it is to make several of them, string them up in a row to create a photo backdrop for photos. Creating an entire wall of them can make a great visual impact and serve as the focal point of the party. These also work well to decorate the front of a table or over a doorway.

With just some glitter cardstock (or cardstock of your choice), scissors and a round stencil for tracing (such as a container lid), you can have a gorgeous piece of party decor in no time. All you need to do is tape your cutouts to some string and voila! A gorgeous party banner.

Supplies
  • 2 pieces of gold glitter paper
  • String
  • Scotch tape and scissors
  • Circular container lid

Directions

Use a circular container lid (I used the lid of an oatmeal container) to trace four circles on a piece of gold glitter paper. Do this on both pieces and cut out the circles. Cut each circles in half. You should have 16 half circles.

Tape the half circles to a string one after the other until you have a banner. Repeat as often as necessarily to create however many banners you need.
