Celebrate Spring With Cherry Blossoms

As soon as little buds bloom from their respective trees and flower beds, I know that spring is officially upon us. It took longer this year than I would have liked, but now that the cherry blossoms are blooming all over the country, it finally feels like spring.

Every year, Washington D.C. celebrates the National Cherry Blossom Festival, a three-week celebration surrounding the blooming of the hundreds of cherry trees scattered around D.C. Paying homage to Japan's gift of the trees in 1912, the festival is chock-full of exciting events, including live music, food tasting, kite flying and more family-friendly activities.

But the best part of the festival is seeing all the gorgeous trees in bloom. They don't stay vibrant for long, which is why we love looking at the photos of when the trees are at their prettiest. We've been fawning over the pretty pics of cherry trees in D.C., Baltimore and all over the country on Instagram. Share your favorite cherry blossom photos with us using the hashtag #CherryBlossoms, and we'll add them to our gallery of favorite photos on the top of our Make Today page. Be sure to tag @celebrations_com on Instagram, and of course feel free to use our favorite hashtag #MakeToday to describe how you're feeling about the gorgeous blooms!

Take a look at some of our favorite cherry blossom photos below, and be sure to share yours to see it featured in our gallery! #MakeToday beautiful.
