Christmas Decorations for Your Front Porch

A beautifully decorated front porch during Christmastime can make all the difference in the world on your block for the holidays. With a festive looking house, you’d be the talk of the neighborhood!

Capture the holiday season perfectly from the outside in by decorating your front porch in a merry and bright way that will surely encourage Santa to come stop by for some milk and cookies.

There’s many ways one can go about decorating their front porch for Christmas. Many people love going to the vintage route for a whimsy holiday porch to a more classic look filled with garland and poinsettias. We found a few unique looks that can inspire you as you look for fun decorating ideas perfect for your home.

An Invitingly Warm Front Porch Idea

This lovely idea found here took the front porch decorating idea one step further and we think it’s brilliant. They decorated their front porch and turned it into a little porch party filled with the favorite holiday drink, hot cocoa. Setting up a cozy nook for guests to snuggle into and a table filled with all the hot cocoa fixings needed, neighbors will invite themselves to you home for a warm cup of cocoa.

Vintage Inspired “Junky” Porch

The Cozy “Old” Farmhouse created this idea inspired by Christmas from the yesteryears. Old elements like a vintage pick up truck, old fashioned license plates and old soda crates are used to decorate their front porch for a nostalgic looking front porch that’s still timeless enough to be recreated at your home today.

Create Winter White Porch

Dear Billie posted so many beautiful photos of these pretty white enclosed porch. With white being the focal theme, they’ve accented the space with Christmas greenery and black accent items for a less traditional but still a pretty Christmas porch.

Ornaments aren’t only for the Christmas tree. Look how great this house looks with a few decorations hanging from the entry way. With the addition of some garland, you’ve got yourself a simple and special holiday porch.

Joy to the World

It’s the most joyous time of the year, so why not spread it. With some foliage, and ornaments you can set up your porch like this one we found from Home Depot and add some wooden letter to the side of your house to bring joy to all who pass by!

It’s not the holiday season without some presents. Why not get your house decked out with some giant gifts, wrapped perfectly by you! I love this red and green idea, but your favorite wrapping paper would look awesome as well. Just wrap some empty cardboard boxes, and stand them up on a flower holder, or just on the floor!

Rustic Touches

This rustic idea from Warren Garden looks simple enough to decorate our front porch with. Just a pair of old skates (if you don’t already have a pair in your attic your local thrift shop should) and an old wheel barrel filled with your left over tree trimmings will do the trick!

Snowman Family

Add some simple décor to your porch with a family of wooden snowmen. No need to worry about melting snow with these guys! Just an afternoon of painting, and some excess fabric for hats and scarves to keep your little friends warm!

All the Whos down in Whoville liked Christmas a lot, and so do we. Since we’re pretty sure we’re safe from the Grinch, this Dr. Seuss inspired idea is sure to get your house in the spirit and welcome in all those with Christmas cheer! With some oversized ornaments, and lots of color, you too can make your home part of the favorite children’s book.
