Decorating for a 4th of July Brunch

Start the Independance Day festivities off with a beautiful and hearty 4th of July brunch. Here are some decorating tips for this festive occasion.

Red and white were the primary colors used for decorating this party, with touches of blue appearing as an accent color.

A red sand bucket filled with white daisies mimicked the star and circle graphics on the front of the invitation and made for a super easy, super stylish centerpiece.  Glittered stars and an ever-so-cute patriotic bumble bee gave this centerpiece a fun 4th of July spirit.

A red metal utensil holder was recommissioned to hold sparklers, candles, and red Tootsie POPS.

Red bandannas tied with starry blue ribbon make great napkins and are striking when placed across the top of the white plates at each place setting.

Add your guests names to a box of sparklers to serve as a place holder at the table. Wrap the boxes in clear cellophane and tie with a red and white ribbon. The sparklers add more festive decor to the table, and make a great party favor for your friends to take with them.

A glass jar full of Red Hots or Hot Tamales can be added to the table for another splash of color, or use them to create a decorative scape on your entry table to greet guests the minute they arrive.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to foods on a stick! For this 4th of July brunch, we used a fireworks skewer to pierce a glazed donut hole and a fresh strawberry for a yummy and festive kabob.

Consider other fresh fruits such as pineapple , bananas, and melon chunks. No matter what you put on a stick though, a kabob makes for an instant summer bite that's easy to eat and fun to look at!

Pear Tree's graphics from their 4th of July invitation made the most delightful cupcake toppers. Centered on a blue scalloped circle, the graphics add a fun pizazz to the tops of the lemon blueberry muffins.

Inspired by the blue ribbons on the invitation, the stem of the Bellini glasses got a festive little embellishment with just the tying of a knot.

Paper lanterns are inexpensive but provide a super pop of color wherever you need it.
