Announcing Celebrations® Designer Community Graduation Contest 2014

It's almost time to celebrate the class of 2014, and we want YOU to help by creating fantastic new graduation invitations or announcements! From March 3rd to March 28th we will be hosting a Graduation Design Challenge!

Official Design Challenge Rules

What Will Win This Challenge?

Beautiful designs that express your creativity and inspire people to host graduation parties or send graduation announcements for the class of 2014! These invitations and announcements can reflect graduations ranging from pre-school all the way up to college.

How to Enter:

Please send a maximum of three NEW designs to laura@celebrations.com and add them to your collection by March 14th, 2014. The Celebrations.com team will choose the top 20 designs from all of the submissions, which will be “pinned” to the contest’s Pinterest board on http://pinterest.com/celebrations

The Pinterest public will then decide the winners by adding their favorite design to their favorites list or by repinning it. The three designs with the most likes and repins will win first, second, and third place prizes!

What to Consider When Creating Your Design:

These are some important elements we will be considering when choosing the top 20 designs:

Suitability for Marketing Purposes

  1. How well does the design communicate the host’s message? There should be enough space for personalization while setting the style and tone for the event. We’ve found that hosts prefer 6-8 lines of text space to communicate the details of the event or announcement.

Design Balance

  1. How balanced is the design? Graphic elements shouldn’t overwhelm the design. Text boxes should be placed away from the edges of the design.

Overall Design Cohesion

  1. Do the colors within the design blend? Chosen colors should work together while allowing the host’s message to be legible.

What You Could Win:

The first prize winner will receive $250, the second prize winner will win $150, while the third will receive $100.

Winning designs will also be featured at the top of our Celebrations Graduation Collection along with being featured in a Graduation-themed newsletter in May.

If you have any questions please email Laura: laura@celebrations.com
