Desserts for Breakfast: A Sweet Way to Start Your Day

This week, the “Dessert Breakfast” diet was trending all over the internet. Apparently a few scientists conducted a study and learned that those who added dessert to their breakfast lost more weight than those who didn’t.

Now, I don’t need a study to tell me you need to be having dessert for breakfast! I’ve been pushing this idea since I discovered sugar so I’m so on board with this brilliant idea. Whether this diet works or not, that’s something I’m not trying to prove. But I can tell you if you are looking to add a sugar boost to your morning, consider my tried and tested favorite Celebrations.com desserts that are the sweetest way to kick off your day.

Red Velvet + Doughnuts = Dreams Come True

You may have awoken from a deep slumber but these yummy doughnuts will certainly make you feel like all your dreams have come true.

When looking to bake a dessert, doughnuts are usually not the first thing that come to mind. But when it comes to breakfast, doughnuts are a given go-to when you're on the run. Since this doughnut is a flavor of a universally loved dessert, red velvet, this recipe is worth noting and trying out for your dessert breakfast.

A Peachy Way to Begin Your Morning

I rationalize this dessert for breakfast by telling myself I’m getting in some fruit so it’s got to be OK. Right? Sure!

This quick and easy dessert recipe is a cinch to make and use of delicious in-season peaches and chilled whipped cream for a fruity and cool way to kick of your day.

Waffles Turned Fun

By far one of my most favorite recipes on site , this recipe turns your basic waffle into funfetti waffles by adding colorful sprinkles to the batter. Amazing!

What makes these waffles even more special is the delicious funfetti glaze you pour over your waffles for that extra boost that'll have you ready to face the day.

Icy Breakfast Blast

What's the difference between a iced coffee and a sorbet? They both are refreshing and a icy way to enjoy dessert for breakfast.

Blend up this delicious treat for a cool blast for breakfast .

So why not give a dessert-inspired breakfast item a-go for your morning treat? That extra sugar kick will surely get your ready to tackle the day with your tummy full of goodness!
