DIY Alice in Wonderland Theme Bridal Shower Favor

Send your guests home with this unique DIY Alice in Wonderland theme Bridal Shower Favor for a take home gift they won't soon forget!

If you decide to throw a tea party bridal shower with a whimsical Alice in Wonderland theme, you need to be sure to include some of the story’s iconic motifs, like playing cards, clocks, quirky florals, crazy hats, mushrooms, vintage teacups, and rabbits.

And a fun DIY favor idea for this fantastical theme is a teacup holding a cupcake. Here’s how to make a whimsical floral cupcake topper so your guests will be sure to connect it to Alice in Wonderland!

  • White and yellow paper
  • Fine point markers
  • Floral wire
  • Cupcake liners (4 per favor)
  • Hot glue gun
  • Green tissue paper
  • Cupcakes
  • Teacups and saucers

Step 1: Begin by making the white rabbit’s pocket clock. Cut out white paper circles and draw a clock face on the front. Then glue the clock to a circle of gold paper, with a piece of floral wire secured in between the layers.

Step 2: Next, make a whimsical flower with pink cupcake liners. Begin by forming a small knot at the end of a piece of floral wire and poking it through the center of a cupcake liner.

Then, secure it with a dab of hot glue and scrunch up 3 more cupcake liners, hot gluing each one in the center of the first liner to form a full flower shape.

Step 3: Twist together the wires for the flower and the clock.

Step 4: Cut a few leaf shapes out of a piece of green tissue paper and hot glue them towards the tops of the wires.

Step 5: Collect some floral teacups and saucers. You could buy them new, or from thrift stores. All the favors don’t necessarily need to look the same—a mismatched collection actually coordinates with the whimsical theme. Once you have the cups, place a cupcake in each teacup, surrounded by some green tissue paper for a greenery look.

Step 6: Finally, place the whimsical flower, clock, and leaf grouping in each cupcake.
