'Scent'-Sational Fall Fragrance: DIY Air Freshener for Your Home

I love that everything about this season screams “cozy” and gives us an excuse to start settling in for the cool months ahead – adding candles to the home, indulging in as many pumpkin flavored foods as possible, and sporting oversized cable knit sweaters.

Clearly, fall is my favorite season and if truth be told, I’ve been counting down the weeks for the chilly weather to arrive!

Whether or not temperatures have actually dropped in your city, you can easily create a festive fall feeling by making your own home fragrance. The best part of all - it requires just a few ingredients! Continue reading for instructions to make your house cozy in every “scents” of the word and let us know if you other tips for creating a warm feeling at home this season.

  • 3-4 oranges and/or lemons
  • 5 cinnamon sticks
  • Gound cinnamon
  • Large pot

Put an extra large pot of water on the stove and bring to a boil.

Slice up the oranges and/or lemons, and add into boiling water

Add 5 cinnamon sticks and a few poinches of ground cinnamon to boiling water

Boil the water on the stove until your home smells cozy for you and your guests!
