DIY Mercury Glass Craft Ideas

Mercury glass crafts have been propping up this summer all over the internet and within our little entertaining community. And it’s no surprise why this has been a popular craft idea. We’ve got plenty of glass odds and ends around the house and adding a layer of mercury glass paint instantly updates and recycles items you already have.

So it’s a great way to recycle and reuse but it also lets you decorate or set up a beautiful tablescape that has a antique rustic element that works great in the summertime but can lend itself well to the upcoming fall season.

Basically any glass surface can be painted with mercury glass to give your décor the rustic look. Whether it’s a lamp, door knobs, vases and more. Here’s a few great DIY mercury glass crafts we found on the interwebs for you to try out in your backyard.

Updating Your Boring Candle Holders

As you can see, it's quite fun and creative to take old glass you may have lying around and to update them and giving it a new life! Be sure to get your mercury glass crating done outdoors and away from children and pets who may find the fumes unpleasant or unsafe.
