Homemade Rustic Holiday Decor: DIY Winter Forest Moss Wreath

This moss wreath is a unique way to keep the Christmas spirit flowing all through the house in a sophisticated way.

This year my holiday décor has a more adult feel to it. When I was envisioning how I wanted to decorate the house I kept being drawn to the idea of creating a moss wreath. I hit my local craft store and picked up some supplies and started playing around with a design. I was so pleased with how it turned out. It has a very rustic and charming European feel to it, which is exactly what I was going for.

Supplies
  • 2 packages of moss sheets (3 sheets per package)
  • Straw wreath
  • Assorted mini trees
  • Hot glue gun
  • Gold star wire (optional)

Directions

Step 1: Wrap your moss sheets around the wreath and glue down on the back. Twist around some rustic twine or gold star wire and secure it.

Step 2: At the bottom interior of your wreath stick in your mini trees to create a mini forest feel. You could add tiny houses or animals too for an even cuter feel.
