DIY Spring Flower Box Centerpiece

Create this beautiful flower box centerpiece to add a bright touch of spring to your party!

When I first started crafting I started with Mod Podge - it was the easiest product to work with and made it rather impossible to ruin a project. From there I learned to use a glue gun, apply paint and before I knew it, I was crafting with a handful of skills in very little time.

This spring craft project combined all my new skills in a keep-sake box that works great for gift giving and as a table accent. Despite using a variety of products and crafting skills, this project took me under an hour to complete, and once I had the hang of it, the other boxes I created for my table top took even less time.

1 round cardboard crafting box

1 sheet of decorative crafting paper

1 foam brush

hot glue gun

1 bottle of crafting paint

1 bottle of Mod Podge

1 sheet of crafting moss

1 bundle of fabric flowers

Step 1: Use your lid to cut out a matching round shape from the crafting moss and then set aside.

Step 2: Paint the lid of your box and then allow it to dry completely.

Step 3: While the lid is drying, cut out the crafting paper to cover the bottom of the box, then secure it with Mod Podge. Allow the Mod Podge to set and dry for 20 minutes.

Step 4: Once your lid is dry, use a glue gun to attach the moss to the top of the painted lid, ensuring that it covers the top of the lid completely and taking care to trim off any excess moss from the sides of the lid.

Step 5: Gently pull of the heads of the flowers from the fabric floral bundle and then use a hot glue gun to attach them to the top of the moss. For this project I wanted a blanket of flowers, you can apply a many or as little as you like.

Step 6: Allow both the top and the bottom of the box to dry for 24 hours before pairing them together and filling the inside.
