DIY Western Theme Party Badge Idea

Planning a cowgirl theme birthday? These fabulously girly sheriff badges are fit for a princess, ahem, cowgirl.

You could also turn these shabby chic sheriff badges into a birthday garland. Make bigger accordions, use larger doilies and spell out H-A-P-P-Y-B-I-R-T-H-D-A-Y onto larger stars. Attach together with ribbon or jute and hang at your cowgirl shindig. We have a similar tutorial for just such a banner - just make sure you swap the red and burlap with these materials!

Supplies
  • Aqua & Pink Cardstock
  • Gold Cardstock
  • Miniature Doilies
  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue
  • Faux Pearls
  • Pin Backings
  • White Marker
Directions

Step 1: For each badge, cut 2 – 2 x 12 inch strips of pink or aqua paper. Fold like an accordion and attach ends together with hot glue.

Push accordion together, to form a circle and add a glob of hot glue in the center. Hold together until glue dries and circle stays in place.

Step 2: Glue accordion circle on top of a miniature doily. Glue a pin backing onto the back of the doily.

Step 3: Cut gold cardstock into stars and glue faux pearls onto the points. Glue star onto the accordion circle.

Step 4: Write guest names on the stars using a white marker.
