Easter Bunny Applique T-Shirt for Kids

Forget the candy this year, fill those Easter baskets with Easter bunny applique t-shirts! This Easter craft is fun and any kiddie will love to find one of these festive tees in their basket - plus it'll last a lot longer than all of that candy!

If the sewing machine part of this tutorial scares you off, use Heat n Bond No-Sew Adhesive and you don’t have to bother with the sewing steps. Don’t forget to iron on the Heat n Bond before you put the fabric through your Silhouette cutting machine. If you don’t have a Silhouette, simply find a free bunny stencil online or at your local craft store and cut with fabric scissors.

If you are making this shirt for a boy, you could iron on a bow tie instead of a pom pom tail and just tailor your fabric to fit your little one's style.

  • White T-Shirt
  • Fabric
  • White Yarn
  • Heat n Bond Lite Iron-On Adhesive
  • Fabric Scissors
  • Iron
  • Sewing Machine
  • Thread/Needle or No-Sew Glue

Step 1: Iron Heat n Bond Lite onto a piece of fabric. Cut out a bunny shape using fabric scissors or a Silhouette cutting machine.

Step 2: Remove the Heat n Bond backing off of the bunny and iron onto your t-shirt according to the Heat n Bond instructions. Use a sewing machine to stitch around the bunny to give it a polished look if desired.

Step 3: Make a pom pom yo-yo out of yarn. Wrap the yarn several times around a fork. Remove from fork and tie in the center with another piece of yarn. Trim ends to look even. Attach to the bunny using thread and needle or no-sew glue.

More Easter Crafts:

This edible Easter craft idea is a fun and festive way to dress up those bunny shaped Marshmallow Peeps you're bound to have on hand at Easter.

Dipped in white chocolate, they're a fun treat to pass around to Easter guests, but also work great as a favor for any spring party, too!
