Easter Egg Place Cards

Tie the “egg” into your Easter table with these quick and easy place cards!

Supplies

6 eggs (or the # of guests at your table)
A large sewing needle
Toothpicks
Grosgrain ribbon
Hot glue gun
Paint pen, gel pen, marker or paint

Directions

Step 1: Poke a series of small holes in the top and bottom of an egg so there’s a large enough opening for the white and yolk to come out of the bottom.

Step 2: Over a large bowl or the sink, put your lips completely around the hole in the top of the egg and blow into the hole, allowing the contents of the egg to drip into the bowl or sink. Continue to blow into the egg until it’s completely hollow.

Step 3: Rinse the inside with water.

Step 4: For the flag, cut a piece of grosgrain ribbon (length to your liking) and hot glue it around the top of a toothpick.

Step 5: Stick the toothpick down into the hole in the top of the egg

Step 6: With your pen or paint, write the guest’s name on the egg. You can also decorate each egg or even better, have your guests decorate their egg.

Note

These eggs can also be hung from branches to make an “Easter Tree.” They make a cute kids craft. Have your kids make and decorate their own egg. Either stuff a thicker satin ribbon loop gently down into the hole in the top of the egg, or use a Christmas Ornament hook and hang the eggs from branches.
