Easy Expert End of Summer Party Tips

Hosting an end of summer party doesn't have to be so stressful. There are a few easy ways to prep ahead of time so that you have less work the day of the party.

You can still serve creative bites and sips, but I have a few simple ways to make your end of summer party easy breezy!

Cocktails & Mocktails

The night before, try blending together any frozen cocktails you may want to serve like a strawberry daiquiri or pina colada. You can blend your fruits and juices then place them in the freezer.

When you serve them to your guests, have them add spike their drinks or enjoy them as virgin cocktails. If you are looking for an even easier way, Parrot Bay makes premade frozen pouches you can keep in your freezer until you are ready to serve.

I love turning my favorite sandwiches into dips. You can easily make a deconstructed sandwich for your guests that will be a big hit with little prep work. The image below is my BLT spread inspired by the classic BLT sandwich.

All you have to do is take a mini loaf pan and line the inside with plastic wrap. Then layer your dip starting with bacon cream cheese at the bottom, add sundried tomato spread and top it with pesto spread.

Cover with plastic wrap and press down lightly to mold the shape of the loaf pan. Refrigerate it until you are ready to serve. Flip the loaf pan over onto your serving tray and remove the wrapping to create an easy dip for your guests.

Easy Treats

Bake rice krispie treats the night before your party to create a colorful, easy party dessert. Grab a few fun summery cookie cutters and cut your krispies into flip flop, sun and martini glass shapes. Then dip them in colored candy melts for a bit of extra sweetness and decorate the top with sprinkles. It's a super easy and fun dessert you can prep ahead of time!

Finally, consider dressing up ice cubes with lots of fresh fruit and summer herbs. It's a great addition to add to cocktails, but they're also a fresh cold bite to refresh at dessert!
