Graduation Cupcake Toppers

These crafty cupcake picks add a collegiate touch to everyone's favorite dessert: cupcakes!

You can put together these picks in only an hour - and that includes punching out 80 circles from cardstock.

To make the craft easy, skip the tape and use Glue Dots® instead. You can also use Pop Up Glue Dots® Roll to give your cupcake sticks more of a 3-D look.

  • Permanent Glue Dots Dispenser®
  • Pop Up Glue Dots® Roll
  • Toothpicks
  • 50 2-inch circles from assorted cardstock (or 2 circles per cupcake pick)
  • 25 1-inch circles from assorted cardstock
  • Graduation cap embellishment

Step 1: After you've punched out all your circles, begin crafting your cupcake picks by placing the Permanent Glue Dots Dispenser against the top back of one of the 2-inch circles, then drag it down the center (3 dots should do the trick).

Step 2: Next, stick a toothpick on the bottom Permanent Glue Dot. Then, roll another Glue Dot from the dispenser across the top of the toothpick.

Step 3: Aline a second 2-inch circle on top of the first, then press down with your fingers so that the two adhere together.

Step 4: Next, place a Pop Up Glue Dot on the front circle. On top of that, place a 1-inch circle.

Step 5: Finally, use a Permanent Glue Dot to adhere the grad cap embellishment.
