Easy Lemon Centerpieces: Fruit & Floral Elements for a Limoncello Cocktail Party

Lemons are bright, festive and yes, very tasty. But one of the best parts about centering an entire cocktail party around limoncello is creating fun and festive centerpieces and decor elements -- which could not be easier.

The bright yellow from lemons is always cheery and uplifting, and makes for easy (and inexpensive!) decor. In addition to drinking your lemon in the Homemade Limoncello and Limoncello Mint Champagne Cocktail, display the pretty fruits in glass jars and vases. By stacking together some bright, citrusy fruit, you have fun pops of color with minimal effort.

Easy Lemon Decor Ideas: DIY Centerpieces

I broke apart my lemon display with some fresh mint leaves. You can also add in other greenery or citrus fruits for bold pops of color. The more glass jars you have, the better! Various shapes and sizes come together to create and impressive display. (And once you are done with your centerpieces, you can reuse the lemons to make more limoncello before they go bad!).

To add some fruity fun to a pretty flower arrangement, simply slice up some lemons into wheels, and add them to the bottom of a clear vase. The lemon slices complement the flowers nicely (especially if you are using delicate spring flowers, such as peonies). You can use just a few slices, like I did here, or a bunch, like our floral expert Carly Cylinder did in her Fresh Floral Arrangement with Lemon

Supplies

For the Lemon Display

  • 10-15 lemons, whole
  • Clear vase or apothecary jar
  • Greenery of your choice (I actually used fresh mint leaves)
  •

For the Lemon Slice Floral Arrangement:

  • Floral arrangement of your choice
  • 3-4 lemons, cut into wheels (about 1/2 inch thick)
  • Clear vase
Directions

To make the Lemon Display, simply stack your lemons into a clear vase or apothecary jar. I broke up all of the yellow with some fresh mint leaves, which not only looked great; they smelled amazing too. You can also use baby's breath, ruscus or any greenery of your choice. You can also scatter in limes or clementines for more bright pops of color.

For the Lemon Slice Floral Arrangement, start by slicing up 3-4 lemons into wheels, about 1/2 inch thick (use more if using a larger vase). Fill your vase with water, then add the lemon slices a couple at a time. After you add in a couple lemon slices, start to add in your flowers. Arrange the slices so that they are outwardly facing the vase. Repeat with lemon slices, then floral stems, lemon slices, floral stems until the vase is complete.
