5 Ways to Upgrade Your Easter Brunch

With Easter fast approaching, it’s time to start preparing for a special brunch celebration. Sure, you could whip up a pan of scrambled eggs à la simple, but we think that this holiday calls for something a little more elaborate. After all: The sun is finally shining, the warmer weather has you in the mood to celebrate, and anyone who has been observing Lent for the past 40 days will be thrilled to indulge!

Gather your loved ones around a table filled with delicious food and sparkling beverages, and treat them to a memorable morning. To assist you in this endeavor, we’ve put together our favorite Orchard Table items, along with ideas for hosting the best Easter brunch ever. Cheers!

Start With a Sparkle

Church services are longer on Easter morning, so be ready to serve something refreshing when your guests arrive. A drink like a mimosa—made with sparkling wine and orange juice—is classic at brunch, but this special Sunday warrants a change. We love to riff on bellinis, which can be tweaked to suit any palate (think berry, grapefruit, strawberry basil, and honeydew varieties). Make a couple of flavors in pitchers so that guests can serve themselves. You can even make a “mock-mosa” with sparkling cider in place of sparkling wine.

Nosh While They Wait

Place a platter of prepared appetizers on a coffee table or sideboard to give guests something to nibble while they wait for the big meal. Seasonal ideas that come ready to serve include spinach and artichoke dip, artisanal cheese, snack mix, pepper and onion relish, and honey wheat dipping pretzels, all from Orchard Table. For light and flaky bites, you can heat and serve pre-made puff pastries filled with blue cheese and pancetta; mushroom and goat cheese; and salmon, dill, horseradish, and cream cheese included in The World Appetizer Assortment from Orchard Table.

The Main Event

Brunch isn’t breakfast, of course, so make it more substantial than a regular weekday meal. Scrambled eggs are so weekday morning, so instead, serve a hearty egg dish, like the scrumptious Triple Cheese and Caramelized Onion Quiche from Orchard Table. And for the main course: go big or go home! We’re talking Spiral Sliced Ham, which is a show-stopper like no other. Round out the menu with deviled eggs, buttered carrots with dill, and a crisp green salad tossed in citrus dressing.

Unique Condiments

Savory ham pairs perfectly with a sweet fruit based relish. We love the Orchard Table Charred Pineapple Relish recipe, which will all but guarantee next day phone calls from your guests asking for your secret. You can also line up mustards of all types, like honey, tarragon, hot, and spicy, along with pickles, olives, and a tangy sauce. Arrange each in a small glass bowl with it own spoon, and label each bowl so guests know their toppings!

Make it Easy

Pressed for time? You can arrange your brunch with a one-stop-shop solution. The Gourmet Brunch Set from Orchard Table comes with everything you need for the perfect spread, including honey-glazed ham, creamy scalloped potatoes, and an artichoke and mushroom frittata. Best of all, there’s dessert, too—a blueberry peach crisp. Just add some vanilla ice cream and you’re good to go. This easy option means less time in the kitchen, and more time to enjoy the backyard Easter egg hunt.
