Fresh and Delicious Thank You Gift

A thoughtful way to say thank you to someone is with fresh produce from your yard or the Farmer's Market.

First, do some research and pick a crop that is in season so you have the sweetest and juiciest selection. It may look fresh on the outside, but you want it to be just as tasty as it pretty. I picked some fresh tangerines and then created a special way of packaging them that made my thank-you gift a little more elegant.

I wanted the vibrant orange color of the tangerines to stand out so I purchased an interesting pot painted with accents of orange and gold leaves and placed the tangerines inside. Keep the giftee in mind when choosing the pot so that they can reuse it and show it off for years to come! If you’ve got a few extra baskets lying around, you can use those as well but be sure to add embellishments such as flowers and ribbon.

Then, I made an orange and white striped floral ribbon, stamped the end of it with a thank-you message, and slipped the ribbon in the pot next to the fresh tangerines. I was ready to say thank you in a creative way--with a fresh and healthy gift from Mother Nature.

If the person on the receiving end loves the scent of fruits as much as the flavor, include a card with a few potpourri recipes they can make using your produce! It’s a small step that adds so much value, and may give your friend a few new ideas!
