Giraffe Themed Baby Shower Table Decor

Throw an adorable giraffe themed baby shower for the mom-to-be with these DIY ideas!

We were inspired by the giraffe baby shower invitations we sent out to create a modern baby shower in hues of turquoise, orange, and pops of yellow. Our design is sleek and stylish, and incorporates polka dots as seen in the invitation, and small touches that say "baby."

To recreate this baby shower look, follow the tips and ideas we offer here, but always bear in mind your invitation. It's the first look your guests will get at the celebration and it's a great idea to allow it to inspire and direct your party decor.

As the centerpiece is the focal point of most any table, it was the first thing we thought about when designing our tables. A giraffe statuette from the home decor section was spray painted white and mimicked the giraffe found on the Pear Tree invitation. To add a little detail, and to give the decoration a more modern look, we added orange adhesive gems for the eyes.

Accompanied by a decorative finial, flowers, and corralled into a modern acrylic tray, this centerpiece is a cinch to pull together. The pops of color it brings to a white table are simple, yet statement making.

Each place setting is layered with a turquoise plate, for color, and favor jars. We even found plastic straws in our party's colors and alternated the settings with orange polka dots, and turquoise stripes. It's an easy embellishment and one that guests will really gush over.

Napkins were wrapped with wide ribbon that has been cut with a dove tail to finish it off. A baby diaper pin is used to hold it in place and makes a great DIYnapkin ring. Perfectly thematic, too!

We also placed a take-home treat at every place setting. This avoids having to scramble at the end of the shower to pass them out. For our baby shower favors we filled small flip top jars with orange candies and embellished with a coordinating sticker from the giraffe invitation set.

Like most showers, ours was a late morning/early afternoon affair, so a light, fresh lunch was served. We offered our shower guests pressed sandwiches on ciabatta bread, strawberry salad, pasta, and a color coordinating punch.

The punch is a mocktail for the guest of honor, but could easily be turned into a cocktail.

Afterward, delicious parfaits layered in mason jars were served for dessert. A sweet ending for a sweet celebration!
