Glamorous Accents for a Girls Night Out

A little sparkle and glam is completely appropriate for a girls’ night out (or, more specifically, a girls’ night in). Unlike other celebrations, you can make this event as pink, fluffy, and girly as you want it.

Let's face it, we're all yearning to be the little princesses we used to be, so give your gal pals an excuse to channel their inner girl with these glamorous ideas.

Add these decorative accents to bowls of chocolate-covered almonds or candies to make them a little fancier.

  • 4-inch wide tulle
  • Thread
  • Craft sticks
  • Satin ribbon
  • Rhinestones

Step 1: Wrap tulle around your fingers seven or eight times, or more if you desire extra fullness.

Step 2: Tightly tie a piece of thread around the middle of the bundle. A tight tie will ensure that the tulle will stand out from the center at the correct angle and ultimately create that “ball” look you want.

Step 3: Fold the bound bundle in half and clip off the folded ends so all lengths are even. Fluff the tulle ends until you have a spherical-shaped pouf.

Step 4: Use a hot glue gun to hot glue the pouf to the end of a craft stick, then add a tied satin ribbon with a spot of hot glue. A few sparkling gems down the length of the craft stick will make the perfect finishing touches for this party accent!

Step 5: Use your party pouf accents to decorate your snack spread. Since these poufs are on sticks, they lend themselves to being easily placed into glasses and baked goods. I love sticking them in martini glasses filled with chocolate-covered almonds or wine glasses holding an especially exotic candy! They also make creative cupcake decorations or cake toppers.

Other easy party decorations you can use:

Ruffled crepe paper or lace garlands

Fabric Flowers

Strung gemstone garlands

Feather boas

For example, this fabric flower is actually a hair clip purchased at a craft store. At my girls’ night party, it was hung from one of the strung gemstone garlands to add a bit of extra flair at the dessert station!
