Glitter New Years Candles Decoration

Add a little glitter to your New Year’s festivities with this fun candle craft. Whether you are hosting a New Year’s Eve dinner or a full blown party, these candles will add some sparkle to your décor.

If you are just celebrating at home with your family in your pj’s, like I probably am, you can have your kids blow these candles out as the clock strikes midnight.

I used Martha Stewart’s tinsel glitters, which I’m in love with, but any type of glitter will work for this project. Try different color combinations, I went for the bold colors. If you have a Cricut or Silhouette machine, you can use it to cut out your vinyl letters. If not, just use stencils or freehand numbers on your vinyl and cut them out with scissors. Happy New Year!

Step 1: Cut out 2-0-1-3 out of vinyl, sized to fit on your candles. Place vinyl numbers on your candles.

Step 2: Brush a thin coat of mod podge over a small portion of the candle and glitter, using tinsel glitter. Continue until the entire candle is covered, including the vinyl number. You can use a different colored glitter for each candle. Allow to dry completely.

Step 3: Once dry, slowly peel off the vinyl numbers.

Step 4: Display and light to ring in the New Year!
